    My husband was a porter in the heritage hotel. He didn't stop getting his guests out until he got to the last one. The stairs broke away and the buildings around them fell down.

    Fortunately I lived in the north island I would have been 2 years old when this happened I pray this never happens again.. 🙏 The Emergency Services did a great job.

    My god I was in Eastgate mall with my mum when this happened.....I was so scared..I think at one point me and her got separated.
    R.I.P all family’s and people lost in these quakes
