I don't prefer this train, if you want to travel on this route, I prefer IC Hetman (or IC Jadwiga) train (both run between Kraków and Lublin, only different route (Hetman via Rzeszów, Jadwiga via Radom) and both of these are longer and much more comfortable than Roztocze).
Te akurat tak bo daja je na trase do „Pszonkow“ czyli Polakow a tam ich zdaniem dzicz. Inaczej wygladaja zestawy CD do Wiednia i Monachium. Masz jednak racje. Ten sklad jest faktycznie obelga dla pasazerow. Widac Czesi nadal spogladaja na nas z gory😡
I rode a similar train from Gdansk Główny to Malbork in May of this year. It was so warm in the compartments that as many passengers as possible stood in the corridor where the air was flowing much better. I also thought the cars looked like something from that era. I actually enjoyed the trip, but it was quite short!
@ my dad travelled in Summer 2022 in a polish PKP Intercity Train from Vienna Hauptbahnhof to Gdansk in northern Poland without working AC and all WC out of order. The one and only great thing was the hauling czech loco.
1. PKP Intercity applies a dynamic system of pricing. The less seats remain available for sale, the higher the price. You probably purchased your ticket when almost all tickets were already sold, therefore a very high price, close to a top price for this route. 2. The train was TLK. Avoid this if you can. This is the lowest category of trains on PKP Intercity. The secquence is: TLK -> IC -> EIC -> EIP. TLK means the lowest comfort and the longest travel time (typically TLK has more stops as well as may go from point A to point B on some secondary track while IC and the rest may go on faster tracks). On other train categories you will not see trains without automatic doors or with 8 persons per compartment etc. PKP Intercity is planning on discontinuing TLK brand, but this can happen only when they get enough of the new fleet they ordered. Still you see less and less TLK. For example since December 2024 the train you used (TLK "Roztocze") has been discountinued and replaced by IC train "Jadwiga". 3. As already mentioned by another poster, this was not really any international route. The train continued to Czechia only because it was composed of carragies leased by PKP Intercity from Czech railways, so in order to return the equipment for the day to Czechia. IC Jadwiga ends now in Krakow and does not go to Bohumin.
Thank you very much for the detailed information. You are correct that this train has already been replaced. I was looking for information about it yesterday and noticed that it is no longer on the routes.
Większość ludzi traktowała go jako pociąg krajowy.
Witamy super materiały , jednak to skład niższej kategorii TLK , wagony Czeskie doczepione , pojadą dalej , ruch jak na TLK normalny , mocno pozdrawiamy
A crowded train ... Every year more and more people travel by train in Poland, this year the number of passengers will exceed 400 million. But we are still very far away from the 1970s and 1980s when Polish trains used to transport more than 1 billion people annually (record numer was 1 billion 140 million in 1977) !!! It's hard to believe, isn't it ???
Finally we get to see the interiors of the train. Thank you!!
Super 👍🎅🌲🎆

Since the new railway timetable a few days ago, this train does not run anymore.

1:05 , niezastąpione combo
This shouldn't be the case on an international train. Tickets should only be with reservations.
From Lublin to Kraków my 1st class compartment was empty. From Kraków to Lublin - the entire train was busy. But there is a large baggage carriage ;)

73zl to dużo w porównaniu w podróży z Lublina do Gdyni kosztuje 81zl
A normal situation a few days before christmas. But nevertheless, a compartment with eight seats is not state of art….

Zrozumiałem. Dziękuję za informację.
Piętrowe wagony by się przydały z wygodnymi siedzeniami

Poland is a country of trains, the country is large, the trains are comfortable, and the ticket prices are low.
There were Czech wagons there, not Polish ones
The czech rolling stock of CD for this international train is a joke.
