Het Matt: When I remove a broken screen I use packing tape across the screen to prevent the shattered glass shards from flying away from the screen and getting imbedded into your skin. It's much safer. Just a suggestion.
Thanks for that trick, I will keep in mind for the future. First time doing this and I had a shard almost getting stuck inside my nostril, wore a mask for the remainder of the dissassembly... Yikes!!
I laughed at him saying "place the screws down in the order as they come out" then shows us using the heat gun and blowing the screws around. oops! lol
I like it. He's not afraid to show that fact that he is human and not perfect. So many people on the internet would have edited that crap out to pretend like they are perfect. I have so much more respect for this guy because of it.
Hey Matt, I replaced the screen to my A21 and powered it on. Once I powered it on and got to the lock screen and attempted to use the screen it was unresponsive. I've tried restarting and making sure I didn't damage or miss any plug's. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance :)
Thanks Matt, that was very informative! I'm trying to Take off a screen from a intact A21 and put it on Agrigously cracked one. You recommend the same steps? Also what kind(Brand and or Gage..( of clamps and double side adhesive did you use in this video? Thanks.
@@RealWorldReview cool , did not know that .thanks man! But this is the first I hear the term"logic board" !? Do you recommend any videos on that?? Switching "the logic board" from one a21 to another that is! I'll still look that up but I was just wondering if you had any specific videos on mind !? Thanks Matt.
This was so great and easy to follow. Now the screen flickers and I am troubleshooting it. I cleaned the screen and removed the screen protector. I did a restart and went to safe mode. In safe mode the screen does not flicker. Any suggestions?
That’s strange. Make sure the screen is plugged in properly. Check all parts of the screen (make the screen all white) to make sure there’s no cracks in the screen.
@@RealWorldReview make the screen all white? Maybe the glue is on it at install but I do not know how to take the screen off without damaging it and the LCD. Guess its just time to pick out of the LG Velvet and Pixel 4
So I followed the steps on this video except I did not put clamps on the screen I ended up just adding a bit of pressure and letting it sit for a while then when I turned on the screen the new LCD was all messed up so I ordered another one and I'm kind of scared to put clamps on now since my bare fingers messed up the LCD what should I do?
I have the same phone and it has the same damages that yours did the way it's cracked it looks exactly the way yours did I'm going to buy a new screen and attempt this
@@RealWorldReview hey I appreciate you're response. Thank you. My phone is fine besides that one camera peice and I have a replacement already, I've just been nervous to seemingly tear my phone apart just to get to it. Im hesitating because I'm worried of messing something up.
Iv never seen anyone do a battery replacement on one of these phones and I need help to replace my battery I need a video showing me how to do that please lol
Be very careful, add a little bit of high percentage iso alcohol, a PLASTIC pry tool to lift the battery and do NOT use metal. Also too much iso can get into the screen, so don’t go overboard
It so happened that i dropped my phone about 10 minutes ago, mostly the bottom got cracked. How much will it cost to take it for glass change? Actual screen is working, just the top glass is cracked 🤬

Thank you for the tutorial!! I couldn't find a screen only replacement video until you posted this. :)

Same here, did you find a solution?
@@michaelrodenbeck6963 Nope, ended up getting an IPhone 13 😂
Putting an isopropyl alcohol swab on the edge of your pry tool will dissolve the adhesive and slide through like butter.

Personally I would keep the screen in the frame and move the logic board over to the working one

I love how DIY this feels
Thank you from a US consumer
wow, good job keep continuing bro...
do i have to use double sided adhesive for the back? or can i use the same glue?
😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😂😂😂😂😂
After you change the screen does it affect the performance?
Do they have the same screen as the Galaxy A21 SCV49 from Japan? My SCV screen is broke but still operational.

Is there not a easier way to replace this 😕 this scares me and what does the lcd mean xx

Please the screen with frame and the one without frame which one should we purchase
With, but you’ll need to move fragile cables over. And make sure not to bend the battery
Very nice, let me share this video sir

If I just wanted to change the back camera glass, is that easy?
Yes, buy it all in one piece with the metal. It just falls out with the back and middle piece gone.

My son accidentally broke the LCD screen trying to separate it from main screen. Now outer screen is totally messed up.What should he do now?
I would love to do this but I don't trust myself to not mess up
great video, thanks for the information!

cheaper but harder to do and you are likely to break the lcd anyway
