I've missed you doing singleplayer. As much as I love Empires and Hermitcraft, it's sometimes hard to follow everyone's story at once, especially now that it's crossover, so it's so refreshing to be able to keep up to date with such straight-forward and simple series that is skyblock singleplayer.
Your ability to sound excited about your first gold even though you have been playing for years is one of the things that seperates you from the pack, so to speak. Good on ya!

This is great! I love skyblock! Tip: Get fortune. It really helps on crops. Even breaking crops with a book can drop more. Also snow man for fast, decent looking blocks.
I don't know what biomes you have available in this version of Skyblock, but if you have access to a moss block, bone meal,a coble stone generator, and spruce trees you can get infinite dirt without the danger or the nether. Bone mealing moss blocks will convert nearby stone and coble to moss moss blocks, planting a large spruce tree will convert nearby moss to podzol, and digging that up will give you dirt.

Once you get a second villager you're pretty much set. Unlimited iron, enchanted diamond gear, every enchantment you could ever want... Especially considering you blew have access to unlimited dirt for farms to use for unlimited villager breeding. Within 2 episodes you'll pretty much have everything on autopilot. Looking forward to what you'll paint on the canvas that is Skyblock in the near future!

Happy to see a new video and loving this series. You can make an easy upgrade to your gold farm to make it AFK. You can create a long hallway from the spawning platform that drops into a 2 block high hole and leave a half-slab space at the bottom. Now when you get the piglins angry they'll chase you down the hall and fall into the hole where you can start just killing them via entity craming. As long as your spawnling platform is large enough, you should be able to AFK and get the gold. You can then quickly get enough iron from trades to put a hopper/chest to collect the drops.
You could make 2 golden apples for 2 zombie villagers. Keep them in one boat and Janice can hit both at once. Then breed them to make unlimited villagers. Now you have to go through the painful process one more time to get the second one Gem. I will call that stupid mistake #4. Also waterlogged leaves can be useful to stop creeper blow up the whole thing. Love your vids and your new skin Gem ❤

HI Gem, I started a Skyblock worl when I saw your first episode but I got to the dirt Problem a little earlier. I just build a platform of top half slaps 25 Blocks in the Air then a Platform on my level in front of it and when the Zombie Piglins spawn I shoot one and they all come jumping to their doom. not a professinal farm but for a stack or 2 of top half cobble slabs, a few trap doors and 25 temporary planks it works wonders. Defenetly recommended ;) But thanks so much for your inspiration I totaly enjoy skyblock both watching you and now laying it myself :)
For perhaps the most abundant terrain resource in Minecraft, dirt (and by extension, mud) is surprisingly complicated (and dangerous!) to renew. Nice progress today!

Hey Gem, I started playing this version of Skyblock (minus the Hardcore mode part) because of your first episode but just charged ahead on my own without waiting for your episodes to come out. When I went to the Nether, there was a second portal, unlit, in front of the lit one that had spawned from my Overworld portal. Since your episode about this hadn't come out yet, (and I see on yours that you didn't get a second portal glitch) I figured that that portal might lead to some other island in the Overworld so I used the firecharge to light it. It just connected to my Overworld portal so guess I wasted my firecharge. :( I sure HOPE the portals don't go out or I'm doomed! :O Really enjoying these episodes! I hope you get super far in your Hardcore Skyblock world!!!

Hey Gem! Loving the vids. I started my own skyblock world on the exact same map literally two weeks before you started this series. Quick tip, sooner rather than later create a backup chest somewhere that you won't spend much time to store a backup of various renewable resources, like saplings, flowers and crops. I've needed to take from my backup chest a few times. It will be a great help as one day you might use a resource up thinking you still have some but don't. In skyblock every block counts and if you loose something it might be gone forever
great episode, you can upgrade on the "goldfarm" by just adding more platforms on top with trap doors for the piglins to fall when you hit one, i believe you can avoid the little ones getting out by putting fences on the floor of the hole instead of blocks making it not quite a full block gap
There is one other way to get dirt which is fully overworld, but it requires a single moss block. make a stone generator, bonemeal a moss next to it to convert to more moss. bonemeal the new moss until you get azalea, then bonemeal the azalea until you get a tree; break the tree to expose the rooted dirt (which was previously a moss block), and hoe the rooted dirt to get dirt. It's a weird one, but it works!

The most terrifying thing in Skyblock hardcore, a close runner up is running across a bridge as skeletons shoot at you, is a creeper exploding a highly effective mob spawner and watching mob after mob pour out. It's like you stepped on a wasp hive and they come pouring out. Scary af
When you upgrade your zombie pigmen farm, I'd recommend using lava and the fire res potion / hanging vines, to get down to y=0. The mob spawns in skyblock worlds are crazy fast when at low y levels, and you really won't need many blocks for a fast farm.
Names for the farmer: Gus, Stanley, Patrick, or Todd dose are my ideas, and also I looooove this series of skyblock! hope you keep on making vids of it!

If you put a 1/2 slab over the bush the berries will still grow but you can not stand in them and so no damage.
It isn't a big deal, as long as she's out of range of the witch's other potions. Poison will take you down to half a heart, but it won't kill you.

Trust me it is fun and relaxing. Much easier after you get past the grinding cobble nonstop stage. And the map gem is playing is really fun.

The most terrifying thing in Skyblock hardcore, a close runner up is running across a bridge as skeletons shoot at you, is a creeper exploding a highly effective mob spawner and watching mob after mob pour out. It's like you stepped on a wasp hive and they come pouring out. Scary af

When you upgrade your zombie pigmen farm, I'd recommend using lava and the fire res potion / hanging vines, to get down to y=0.
The mob spawns in skyblock worlds are crazy fast when at low y levels, and you really won't need many blocks for a fast farm.
