i hate when we get to the point where one player leaves the series, you kinda get attached, but i do get excited to see who's up next. damn these videos are so inspirational, it's more than just basketball.
I'm 35 years old. Last September I broke my Tibia, Fibula, and Talus in my right ankle. That in turn aggravated the tendon in my left knee. After 9 weeks of non weight bearing and seeing all of the muscle loss in my leg I realized I might never be as fast as I was. Speed was always my thing. I might never have the vertical that I did. I was never an elite athlete but I was good and playing sports brought me a lot of joy in life. These videos have really helped motivate me to keep at it, hit the court and stay in the gym. It's frustrating right now but little by little I've seen things coming back. I still can't sprint, but now I can jog. I beat some guys off the dribble here and there. Started getting used to shooting my jumper without the legs I had before. It's hard, but I'm old and that's life. These videos are incredibly inspirational. Thanks Shift Team.
Honestly.. The shift team movement is an amazing movement.. Every video they put out is just simply amazing.. I mean I've waited for this video for like forever after i watched Student Of The game... But The wait was totally worth it... Its just art... Props to Devin...
I'm a late comer but absolutely love the series, the words, the gems that's dropped, practices and other things all add to it. Devin Williams, do work!!💪💪
I been watching this Series for the entirety of yesterday and I felt attached to Christian... I didn't want him to fail cuz he's sorta like me. We have the same habits and stuff. Even though I'm not vertically challenged as much as he is (I'm thirteen and I'm 5'8) I still connected with him on an intellectual and spiritual level. This motivated me... I got up this morning went to the park and balled for like 13 hours...I felt tired but I kept going...I couldn't stop...I felt like I had catching up to do... This inspired me... At the end of this episode I found myself almost crying until I saw he was getting multiple offers...I felt so proud for some reason and it got me intrigued even more...subscribed today...thanks
Lol this is a good episode but u were crying wtf Christian wasn't even crying nigga what's wrong with u my god u crying over a kid who went to prep school instead of ncaa ball nigga u should stop watching TH-cam all together if u get this attached to shit u aren't ready for it yet
dang thats crazy... Im happy he got uncomfortable and now avg 24 now?! thats real, now her getting looks. it looked like he career was looking bleek after poor effort habits and changes but man.. People change. cant wait for the next one.
Watch Chris in Episode 9 “Iron” Christian is really mature in that video so you as the viewer get the pay off from Episode series’ 5 and 6 part 1 and 2 on both.
Man I love these episodes.. Woke up early today to watch it before school(I'm from Holland). They motivate you in basketball and in life generally. Looking forward to the next eps.
This video made me cry ... Chris done worked so hard and now its paying off i wish him the best ! Now its time for me to get in the gym and chase them hoop dreams :,)
Chris could've easily given up but he kept persevering and giving it his all. That ending hit hard, I'm glad his hard work really began to help him shine
I've watched this about 10 times and I realize that this is one of the best edited series on you tube. Just watch from 9:47 and see how something changes every time the beat drops.. Great work
In the same way that you are improving the game of your players, you are also improving your filming and video editing skill. Keep up the good work, these are great.
Hardly ever comment on videos, but this series has been so inspirational basketball wise and life in general. Really cannot wait for another episode. Keep up the hard work!
Man this is my favorite one of all! It's amazing to see how important it is to fight through adversity and persist through when things get tough. Glad to see that Hard work pay off for Chris! I respect the BALLISLIFE movement so much and encourage everybody to watch this episode to see how if your patient and you keep working your possibilities are endless. Great job Dev, Chuck, and George!
Definitely worth the wait I watch a lot of your videos from Trevor to Christian to learn what improvements I can make in basketball I'm not really a Hooper I play football but I like to be good at everything I do and the whole eating habits things really is what I need to hear if I just ate right and made better decisions things would be better for me but watching Christian raise from okay guard to being dominant it really inspires me to do this even more that the work I put in is definitely is going to pay off just gotta keep pushing through it all thank you soo much man for making these videos I really appreciate it 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍
yo team shift has defiantly motivated me to put more time into delveloping my illustrations before this I never even liked basketball but seeing y'all hard work made appreciate the sport for the first time in my at 20 years old! y'all made me start wacthing b ball games for the first time ever!
Man this is beautiful. Whether you see this or not. Keep doing this. Your an inspiration to not only me but everyone who watches. Your the reason my dream is still alive and I feel as though which each episode I've grown. Thank you man
Yo dev, I just wanna say this is probably the best video you have made so far, cos you're having fun but still teaching people stuff. I think the way you train basketball is how all training should be done, teaching people life lessons/skills and developing relationships, that's what it's about man. I've learnt so much from this whole 10,000 hours thing man, heck this is really what made me start playing ball. Thanks dev :)
I just watched through your series... (in 2017) and I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for being the kind of role model that many youth need. Thank you for pushing these kids to not only follow their dreams, but work to achieve them
Dope video bru been waiting mad long for it. Well worth the wait. A lot of cats just know I wanna hoop. But u show dudes like this comes wit scars. U gotta take the l's if u want to success it's not just a fast course from A to B for most ballers. U gotta be down for the grind. It's like all the old heads always say u get out what you put in. Respect for showin ballin behind the scenes
Lots of respect for you Dev! This is more than basketball, this applies to life and I appreciate dudes like you really helping others realize what you have.
This was truly and amazing video. I'm grateful that you guys made this it taught me really how to break my uncomfortable zone. And just like you said your uncomfortable zone teaches you a lot. Great Video.
"What happens if I do it?" "Just don't touch it." "Ok don't touch it." HAHA. Used to follow this channel at 13k subs. Crazy how hard work grows its flame! Keep it up Dev!
This is just a dope series. It helped me get through a time when I couldn't walk for 6 months two years ago because of a nervous breakdown. It helped me get back up. Thanks so much Devin. God bless you
I watched this series and it changed my whole perspective on basketball and life. I was about to give up on my dreams of playing college basketball until you made me realize something. If i quit now ill be comfortable quitting things for the rest of my life. Everything happens for a reason and i feel that your workouts and tips are much needed thank you. You're the reason that i won't give up on my dream and will prove all my doubters wrong. #Salute
I'm only halfway through, but this might be your best work yet. It's one of the most insightful packages, yet, and continues to demonstrate how resourceful and dedicated you guys are. Reminds me of me when my daughter ran track and son balled. All vacations had to be planned near high schools or colleges with tracks, and nearby indoor gyms (so rain or heat would not be an excuse). Even when we went to the beach the last hour or so was dedicated to getting in work on the sand...all depending on what our next stop was going to be, of course. Will finish watching now.
Best episode, especially the last part where de in was talking about walking across the stage and not knowing where you're going, spring came with no calls. So many people can relate to that, including me. Good to see Christian doing his thing with that interest.
This truly makes me want to never give up. Seeing how Christian is only 5'5" and pushes through all the negativity that could be thrown towards his way for not being the "right size" shows how strong of a person he actually is. It is great to see that Devin saw past his height and saw that he does have potential. A lot of coaches only see height but it is nice to see that he is getting looks from some D1 schools. This just makes me want to work harder and accomplish my hoop dreams 👌.
One of the best episodes you've produced. I'm so happy to see you and Chris to learns new things and to get uncomfortable best of luck to the both of you
Thank you Devin and every one who is involved with ''In the lab'' and the 10000 hours series . Very inspiring . Makes me want to be a student of the game ! Keep up the grind and the good work
holy crap i cant be more impressed with you both. i am extremely joyous that chris is getting out of his comfort zone and experiencing happiness simply through basketball. devin, thanks for what you have done so far with ALL of your players. keep working hard, and thanks for inspiring me everyday to do the same. sincerely, brennan- your biggest fan of 10000 hours.
This series inspire me so much to keep on. I try to practice daily here in the neighborhood's court, mostly I practice alone. At times it gets boring and usually I don't know what to practice. In here it rains allot too and the court gets super wet which limits me to not going to the court and that adds up. But after watching this video it makes me wanna practice harder and harder. Thanks for putting out these series Dev :)
Great episode man, I'm glad the hard work is paying off not only for Chris but the rest of y'all as well. Keep us updated I hate waiting half a year for another episode lol.
14:55 "Some of the greatest lessons I've learned conquencidently came outside of the classroom. Or when I moved away from home, outside of my comfort zone." - Devin Great quote! I can totally relate to this.
Lmao that ending 😂😂 I just wanna say this is the first time i commented on a video becuz i never felt the need to but thats just how good your channel is and im 17 and tried out for an AAU team this year and got cut becuz of knee pain slowing me down but your videos inspire me so much to tryout for another team and prove this is my calling motivation last for a certain amount of time but inpiration leads to something perminate but anyways i am working on getting faster because thats a weakness of mine and I wanted to thank you for this great content and channel. Thank you
This is the best episode i've ever watched on any tv show. Very entertaining but also informative. Top 10 episode out of any show for me. Teaches me to work and that the only way to have a better future is to change your present. #InTheLab
just wanted to say thank you. Youre a true inspiration, for not only me, and thousands, probably millions of others, but also to the people you actually train. And I know you do this because you love it. These kids world wide look up to you brother, and for years and years they will continue to. Because you appeal to many, and intrigue the mind, by expressing how you feel about basketball, and comparing it to average day life. By watching your videos, the handle of my left hand is becoming smoother, and easier to use. My shooting has become better, including the form of it, the speed, and the way I jump, and face my body towards the hoop. Id do almost anything to train with you man, its a dream. But just like I learned from you, the future may turn my dream into a reality. Thank you, and stay humbled.
This motivates me so much you don't even know. Thank you for this Devin. Chris will get to the league one day and Im gonna keep my hopes high. Heart over heart.

That yoga guy was drunk
