What a crack of BS, it has nothing to do with climate nor traffic. Midtown avenues are now reduced from 4 lanes to 2 lanes only, making the appearance of congested. They use one lane for pedestrian and another lane for bike only. On top of that one lane lets cars to park along the avenue. This is a total BS.
ONE THING I FIND VERY INTERESTING HERE. NJ Transit trains are expensive. When this Congestion Pricing started to make conversation, a reporter from NJ 101.5 asked Murphy at a press conference about it. He asked why not force the towns/cities that the stations are in on the Trenton/NY Penn Line (Northeast Corridor) to subsidize the train through taxes. Which would bring the cost of tickets down dramatically. Also why not partner with SEPTA to help SEPTA create a NY Penn Bound train that, in PA, only picks up passengers at 30th Street Station, North Philadelphia Station, Corwells Heights Station. and Levittown before running express to NY Penn. Murphy had no comment on that and stated he would get back to him, which he never did. Murphy wants to sue NY and the MTA but offers no options for NJ and PA commuters who use the line with providing a cheaper option. If the ticket prices went down to 1/4 what they are now, more people would ride it.
So you want people to pay the turnpike, then the tunnel, then congestion pricing, then parking because NY made bus lanes, bike lanes which congested NY in the first place. Stop blaming everything on climate when it is the MTA's fault for not keeping a budget. Stop the pensions, and the problem will be resolved.
tax NY cars crossing into NJ....simple, and make congestion pricing costs a tax credit on the NJ Tax return for NJ residents that get reobbed by NY....PS ...stop the fare beaters on subways and busses in NY and that brings in 700Million....about what cogestion pricing will bring in
I'm very disappointed in Gov Murphy. He has the opportunity to get an extension of the No 7 subway line to New Jersey in return for the congestion pricing fee.
this is not about congestion or environment. its about pulling money from everyone pockets. they want more people to take the subway, yet mta just approve price increases on top of the congestion tax

The Port Authority terminal in mid-town needs more bus slots. Those buses are mostly going to NEW JERSEY. PASS CONGESTION PRICING NOW

New Jersey nobody in NYC wants this except for that greedy governor lady
I do
@jvees7916 you're a pepperoni
Only cheap white people who think buses and trains are beneath them are complaining 😂
If she started it when it was supposed to start, this wouldn’t be an issue now.
The money will be tossed into a bottomless pit that is called the MTA.

He is wrong. People from NJ can use the Hollander tunnel and travel to the west side highway for free.

You are just stupid hoping this can actually be traded. MTA won't don anything useful, that's a fact.
@@benqurayza7872 can't bargain a bad deal for everyone, congestion pricing as it is should never be allowed
