It would be much appreciated if us everyday people would be allowed to actually hike and enjoy the most beautiful parts of the Davis Mountains. Preservation is honorable, but who really gets to enjoy it? This part of Texas, this “sky island” is remarkable, but the public needs more access. It’s important for our health and wellbeing to have access to nature - now more than ever.

Who is it preserved for? It's not open to the public like a national park or wilderness area. Completely elitist effort.
