What they had on them was a dual mount Vickers K. What was left of those Italians was described as pink mist and mince meat.

Yes the Pak40 L/46 75mm AT gun is VERY GOOD.. It was one of the best AT towed guns the Germans used that had nice low profile (on par with the 88mm in how deadly it was)..
It was rushed into service to replace the Pak38 to combat the new T-34 that had appeared on the Eastern Front..
At 500m it can penetrate around 110mm of armor easily with PzGr. 39 shells, and 150mm with PzGr. 40 shells (APCR tungsten core)..
Its definitely elite! Appreciate the info though how interesting 👌 they actually had to resort to using the 88mm flak guns against the KV-1s in 41 at the start of barbarossa until they got better AT guns such as these, it caused much panic in the German high command. ✌
@@GeneralShiba_ Yes, this was early into war against Russia before the T-34 and before the sloped armor concept design was used in tank design.. The Russians had the KV-1 in 1939.. The Germans did quickly learn to adapt dealing with them though, and would just track/disable them and move on to leave them in the field if they lacked 88 support.. The Germans only had at the time the Pz III tank that had a main gun that had anything near "high velocity".. (not enough to deal with a KV-1), the Pz IV had a low velocity stubby gun (a HEAT shell could disable one, but they carried very few HEAT shells).. The Pz IV's main gun was quickly upgraded, and became the Pz IV F2 model.. (and then later with some further hull modifications would become the Pz IVG variant)..
But yeah with the T-34 and KV-2's and then the IS's the PaK40 AT gun was designed.. By 1943 it was the most produced AT gun..
@@MajCyric you seem to know your history, its interesting how quickly ideas and tech develops during war time.
all round west doctrine has become the only doctrine I use when playing the Germans anymore. their more expensive infantry is easily on par with the new american infantry. panzerfausts and Stgs are passed out like candy. their halftracks are amazing for zipping around the enemy lines and blasting away some infantry. the 2cm half-track in particular has become the bane of existence for my opponents officers. i honestly rarely find a use for tanks with the new doctrine, as the half-tracks can easily lock down an area if theyre positioned correctly with proper infantry support and having some panzerschreks in hiding will deal with sny shermans before they get close. ill usually invest in Pak 38/40 to help finish the game out if im fearing a heavy tank push
It is a good doctrine but I find it's easily countered if your opponent is patient. I think all doctrines can work if used well, I think the support doc is the best German doctrine because the short barrel sdkfz and the grille are OP, you also get plenty of STG squads which are great. I also think 1v1s play very different to team games. I like the finns and Soviets in 1v1s as you can spam inf which is the meta in 1v1s but in 2v2s you need good support weapons which the germans and US shine in!
Do you think the panzerwerfer 42 is awesome? 🤷♂️
Honestly the Nebelwerfer is gonna give you a better "Big Bada Boom" for your point cost.. the main upside to the panzerwerfer 42 is that it is able to relocate faster after firing it's payload (avoiding counter battery).. Both though take a long time to rearm/reload, and ammo from ammo trucks for resupply are limited per truck..
A Wespe or Hummel would be a much more destructive call in though..

Idk imo its absolute ass, doesnt deal nearly enough damage to warrant the cost.
I took it once, realised it has next to no splash damage and promptly forgot it exists. Any other rocket artillery, even the 82-mm soviet one is much better than the panzerwerfer.

@@GeneralShiba_ I love Wespe. I use 3 Wespe's In conquest to bombard a point for about 10-30 minutes then do the same thing with other points. One Wespe is bad but if you have multiple of them they are amazing
And you cant forget to bring at least 2 ammo trucks for 3 Wespe's
One of my Wespe's has gotten me 307 infantry kills and 24 vehicle kills

How come you don't use medics?
In PvP it's not worth it, it's just extra micro that takes your attention away from the fight. If an officer dies and can be revived I'll get medics though! :)

Yeah you'd only worry about keeping soldiers alive in single player campaign where your units carry over into the next mission(s)

It said somewhere that it can mess up your key binds and such so am hesitant to do that 😅
