Missed the old phx suns days. With nash, stoudemire, marion, bell, diaw, tim thomas, barbosa, and jrich with mike dantoni. Sucks they didn't win any championship or at least go to the finals.

Back in the day when he was the most versatile defender in the game, this guy was a beast.
I remember on 2k7 when he was rated higher than Nash, and that was after his back to back MVP's. Very under rated in his prime like a lot of players from back then.

Extremely underrated and a top 10 NBA player in his prime, Shawn was in the top 10 for Value Over Replacement Player for three straight years from 02-03 to 04-05, and was 9th in the league in Box Plus/Minus in 02-03.

That is awesome man! He certainly deserves to be in the Hall Of Fame. It’s a crime that he was never selected to an All-Defensive Team throughout his career. He was an amazing defender… he always guarded the other team’s best player. He could guard every position 1-5, was an amazing rebounder for his size.

I got his autograph before he was 'famous'. He signed my yearbook. I went to high school with him. I graduated in 1994. He graduated in 1996. In his '96 picture in my yearbook, he was actually wearing a t-shirt, with a jersey over it. I can't tell due to how the picture was cropped, but it would be awesome to find out if it were a Phoenix jersey. He was a beast in high school as well.

Always liked to play 2k teams with Marion basically because of his all round efficiency. I can't say he was underestimated or something like this. He was a tough role player who deserves HOF induction 😊
I had the autographed Picture of his number 1 play. I won it in an Art auction with my grandma when I was 5 or 6. Sadly I lost it when my house burned down back in high school. I had that picture for 10 or so years, this is the first time I’ve actually seen the video of it.
I always wondered who’s hand it was in the back as I never got to see it haha it’s so unbelievable to me right now I feel like I’m reliving the moment in the auction when I got to take the picture home!

Have no idea why Blatt didn't play Marion more throughout the playoffs and especially in the finals. If Marion had just played 10-15 minutes in game 1 and gave the Cavs. some production we could have won in regulation and Irving wouldn't have gotten injured. Could have benefited Irving and the Cavs. throughout the entire finals having Marion play 15 min. a game.
