That's a good question but I think it mainly depends on the steepness of the window frame itself. Honestly 1/8 would flex in a lot I think. If I were you, I'd go thicker or add some sort of support brace just to be safe
This is only good if your car is garaged or doesn't stay in the elements for any long period of time . That type of lexan is soft , scratches easy , and is lacking the coating of a company , I don't benefit from , does apply , which I provided a link to that covers various civic platforms . It's that coating that will keep it from slowing fading and turning white . Good luck
The lexan I used is UV resistant and this car doesn't live outside. Anyone that installs lexan windows on a race car probably has enough mods to not want to leave it out in the elements and vulnerable to thieves anyway

@@nolimitracing9752 how it still holdin up, I really want to do this to my CRX since safelight won’t put glass in my car, also what’s the budget to do this?
Hey man, just a quick question I have a 1993 Chevy Chevette (Brazilian), and i have been wanting put PC (or Lexan) on the two rear seat windows. They are causing me some trouble, so I want to swap them. Now I kind of wanted to do it with the rear and front windshield, but im afraid it might vibrate a lot on high speeds, would you say it's the case? Keep in mind this is a car I use quite frequently, not a "full on project" that I only cram power
If it's a car u use all the time on the road then I'd leave them alone especially the windshield. I wouldn't want to daily a car with lexan windows especially the windshield. Yes, lexan has more flex than glass does so you will hear and feel more vibration. Keep in mind that lexan scratches very easily so any dirt or debris from the roads you travel on will get on them and probably scratch them up pretty good over time
What length/size digits do you use? I need to do this to my 100. My inlay is 1/2”x1/2” was thinking of getting 1/2” weatherstripping to put in the inlay
@@nolimitracing9752 What up Bro. Yeah sometimes you need a break. Thought about your channel the other day and was wondering if you STILL had the Hatch and all. I’m still at it too with my EG hatch. Good to see you alive and doin good in these crazy times.

Thank you bro. Means a lot. Yeah that would be great if we were close enough to help each other with our builds. One day bro, on day
Cool video, looks good.
Do you think 1/8 would be stiff enough in a mini truck at 60mph without center braces for the windshield?
That's a good question but I think it mainly depends on the steepness of the window frame itself. Honestly 1/8 would flex in a lot I think. If I were you, I'd go thicker or add some sort of support brace just to be safe

you need to silicone the lexan its going to vibrate going through the traps, also create air pockets
Thanks man, I'll more than likely just silicone it. I already bought the tube
