I first visited this shop in Springvale out of curiosity. A bowl of soup was $4.50 back then. The owner showed me through the kitchen, It was incredible 4 x 50 litre pots boiling on the stove. after you were finished your appetite was totally satisfied.
Thank you both for another great video. Since finding your channel I’ve been able to venture out to a couple of your recommend restaurants and they definitely didn’t disappoint. Great food😋
I would love it if you did a whole series on all of Springvale’s restaurants. Maybe a comparison on the restaurants’ specialities? I think it’s a very underrated suburb for amazing Viet cuisine.
I’ve been looking for a good pho place, so definitely will be giving this a try next time I’m in Springvale, it certainly looked delicious and just what you need on these cold days
I used to go to the one in Footscray. I think that's where Pho Hung Vuong started many years ago. Now my favourite pho place is Pho Kim Long in St Albans. This is the more traditional northern styled Pho which I like although I'm not from north Vietnam. You should try that one too.
I tried northern style when I was in Hanoi, extremely delicious, so many good places to check out in the West for Vietnamese food. I'll definitely give pho Kim long a go next time I'm in the West.
It's the oldest Pho Hung Vuong I know of. It was also packed every day the first year it opened. Footscray is one of the best places to dig into Vietnamese cuisine unfortunately, business has been tough and there aren't many old restaurants left.
@@LocalEaters Yeah, I would say its as good and more spacious : ) I used to go for Pho Hung Vuong in Springvale but for the pass 2 years had been going to Clayton for it. You should try out Warung Mummy (Malaysian cuisine) in Springvale, they had in my opinion best Spiced fried chicken nasi lemak in Melbourne. And I recommend Nasi Kandar Peneng in Springvale too, for their cheap Roti and Nasi Kandar. My go to places in Springvale ^^
@LocalEaters Yeah, had the Fish head Laksa in Glen Waverley before. Massive serving and delicious broth. Unbeatable for me, but normally I get Fish fillet one.
Popular yes?the best no...I went once because of the line up thinking it must be good...Pho Hoang Is better. The best in the region IMO Is Street Pho Noble Park, that goes for Pho & Bun Bo Hue

$4.50 what year was that? They've definately perfected the broth 👌

Thankyou 🙏
I went to this Pho place a few years ago. They definitely turn the tables over quickly. I love a trip to Springvale on my annual trip to Melbs! ❤
You've got a nice list of places now 😁

I'll make my way through haha
Finally, my favourite pho joint.Just the soup alone is enough to blow you over.Their home made chillie oil is perfect for the pho.
Yeah can't deny it's deliciousness. That broth is unbeatable..
Pho hung vuong Springvale and Clayton!!? All time my daughters favourite.
Need to try the Clayton one!
Great vid! My fav pho place is still the quiet one around the corner, but these flavours are still delish!
Me too

Yep that broth is perfect for a wintery Melbourne day
Yummm! Loooks great!
It's so good!

The pho in Clayton’s the best!
I will have to go try that one 🤤
Called pho vuong in Clayton 😊
This is our favourite Pho shop in Springvale
Yeah that broth!!
Pho Hung Vuong has been around for 15-20yrs in Footscray.
Is that the original store?

I'll have to go down there, heard many good things about Footscray. Shame about them closing.
Pho Hung Vuong have a second shop in Clayton.. with less queue and more spacious
Ooo is it as good?

Awesome, will keep that one in mind. Thanks for the recommendation 🙏
Yes same!!!! I go to Clayton instead of Springvale.
What do you like more, pho or curry laksa?
Can't go past a fish head Laksa. It really depends, pho I can eat everyday but laksa once a week is enough. I'll go with pho.
