I found that too. Just me though I find more work using the walker than using my forearm crutches..

It feels some good to stand up right eh? I used KAFO for a period of time. Thankfully I got enough return back to just use AFO's for both feet.. I use forearm crutches .. I find them much easier than a walker .. That's just me.. Good stuff. Keep getting up!

Hello, I am an L4/5 incomplete. I have a rigid set of KAFOs similar to yours (I feel like getting my feet into shoes is the most difficult part, of course aside from the physical aspect of it)

Have you ever used Billy Footwear for your kafo? I’ve heard that it’s a lot easier to maneuver your afo into their shoes.

Howdy - great video and very informative. Keep up the good work. Question - why do you require so much brace coverage/support on your lower leg (calf) area? Seems to be extensive and must be hotter then HE-L in the summer. Are your braces carbon fiber? Lined? With what?

They cover so much because i have no control of my legs below my hips, and also since I can’t feel below my hips either If it is hot then I can’t tell
Was the spinal cord severed in the accident or just injured?

Yeah it was severed and no I can’t feel or move below my level of injury

That's Great bro... I'm paraplegic like u. My spinal cord injury is from T3 to T6. I'm in dare need of this kafo but couldn't find this exact type I can wear into shoes after checking lots of online store. which online store can I get this type from...?
Not sure about online stores, I got mine through my therapy Place.

Hello, been a month but figured I'd respond. I don't have any of the MRI scans, I never got the see them either so I can't say for sure but since it's a complete injury, the spinal cord was completely cut.

I’ve heard about people getting leg spasms but I’ve never noticed any. I do get some spasms around my level of injury sometimes tho.
Nostra, what is your injury level? I had a friend in high school with a T5 spinal cord injury and she had leg spasms randomly sometimes. Like her foot would start “tapping” up and down - people thought she was just nervous. haha She had no control over it though.
