Keep it up Network Chuck with the Believing the world need's it. (edit) wow just listend to the near very end Great to hear Mr. Bombal is a believer as well. please feel free to drop small hints in all your videos about your belief's again like i said the world need's it. Let me tell you what the take I got from this video, David you are the best at what you do and Chuck is the best at what he does with both being in contrast to each other, but when you both come together, then there is a huge discussion to think about. The word "discussion" here refers to "scared"....lol

I managed to land a web developer position here in Fresno for $30/hour after getting my Associate degree in Web design a couple years ago. You just have to work hard, network hard, learn everything you can and you will get there. I love my job. I do marketing and design as well and love it.
And I used to be a truck driver that was wrongly convicted of Vehicular Manslaughter and served 11 months in prison for something I didn't do.
Edit - full time position 8 hours a day Monday through Friday. Praise the Lord.

They took away my CDL too so I lost my entire career in truck driving, so I went on welfare and back to school. I finished my AA in Web Development and then plead No Contest right before the trial started for 11 months instead of if I lost - 11 years. My lawyer told me it was impossible to tell for sure what happened and if we possibly lost I could have gotten the max sentence and if we wanted to win I would need an additional $30K for an Accident Reconstruction Specialist which I definitely didn't have.

I took a pay cut for the job I have right now. I have been a Network Engineer for almost two years, and the raises are good. In five or six years, I expect to be paid much more than I would be if I stayed working as a machinist. I am glad I did it. Somedays, it is stressful to help every person with their computer problems. The expectation is you know everything. But over time, you eventually start to see everything, and you get comfortable fixing everyone's issues.

A thing I had to learn about career paths. You can achieve a lot without taking the traditional Junior-Senior-Supervisor-Department Manager etc path. That's a management route that society says you do to succeed. In IT, you can do well by pushing in many other areas, Cyber, architecture etc. took me a long time to realise that.... You can get to CTO, and not "manage" people.

I like the fact thar David is asking too many things about everthing. Every question, doesn't matter how simple it sounds, leaves nothing out.
He squeezes as much as he can out of his guests so that we can all learn.

I started my cyber security journey thanks to both of you! I'm still a starter and learning about linux more and more every day, otherwise I have a fair good knowledge about pc's and networks :D don't ask how I managed to skip Linux. Right now I'm working as a project manager in a globally known corporation but I'm trying to divert my career toward cyber security. I've been actively networking and learning about the industry and even joined an association of industry experts here in Finland :D Thank you guys for your awesome content!

This was really really interesting. More of this sort of content please. :) Also, mentioning title and thumbnail importance at 40:29. My notification said for this video said "Network Chuck Hacked" before it cut off the rest. Even in my tab on my desktop it says the same thing. Completely different than the quick moment of 'Oh No' I felt seeing the notification. :)

Hey David, thank you very much for making such video. In this era, every content creator is shifting toward creating short content and that is the trend nowadays. But that is somehow impacting human psychology, taking their patience away.
To be honest I am also addicted to consuming that short content like instagram reels. When I looked at timestamp before watching the video, I thought I am not gonna watch this till the end. But my view changed when I started watching it, got so much to learn from inspiring life story of you and chuck, and time just passed away like it was a few minutes video. Again thank you ao much for creating such content ❤️

So inspirational! I've thought about making techy/hacking videos on youtube, but seeing the level of most other tech related youtubers and how much they know makes me think I'm not good enough yet to start making those types of videos. This video is making me more confident and perhaps I might start making tech related videos.

HAK5 was pre TH-cam and my favorite source.
Many of us had to learn it from books. Or whatever reference we had access to.
Even video and audio editing. I have done little by little over the many years. All on my own learning this or that process.
But my experience is IT but my degree is electronics engineering.
