This ride video was the only time I rode a NYCT MTA Orion bus during the trip I did June 2024! I was lucky enough to catch this Orion bus on the Franklin Ave Shuttle, since this was the only Orion bus running during the closure for the Franklin Ave subway. It was overall a fun ride, but was very slow at the beginning due to heavy traffic. There were people on board, but many got off along the way. Due to the AC in the back, the sound wasn't that great, compared to Orion buses in SF where the AC is not usually on. I rode this bus between Franklin Ave at the C Train station to Prospect at the Q Train station. These are one of the last Orion buses for NYC and they are likely to retire anytime soon. Apparently all other S Franklin Av bus shuttles were XD40s and C40LFs that day, leaving this bus being the only Orion.
