Myungsoo's voice has always been beautiful. The only thing that happened is that he changed his child's voice (which we hear here), to the adult voice that we hear today.

i saw that surprised face of L it was like "Oh..i just hit the high note" i think he could really sing well but he holds back a lot , i love that even if he doesn't still know how to get a great sing skills like sung gyu or woohyun he puts a lot of effort in his singing for his fans :)

But the thing is, to me, it seems like L has tried his hardest to improve a lot over the years. I can see that he's trying to prove that he's more than just his looks, and I love that about him.
Myungsoo is my bias but I'm not gonna lie that he is has the best vocal ability. Notice how I said vocal ability. He might not have the strongest voice or biggest vocal range but he's amazing at delivering emotion. This is what a true singer must be able to do. So for me the idea that Myungsoo didn't have great singing skills was just the prejudice of people who didn't even take the time to try to get to know Myungsoo's voice more.
We praise Myungsoo because there is so much more to singing than hitting the notes perfectly. Myungsoo sang very emotionally and actually tried from the bottom of his heart and that's part of what matters the most.
I'm going to share my opinion, I came here from SJ Kyuhyun video singing this in SS DVD. This performance is far from perfection, after all I just heard Kyuhyun sing this and we all know he is one hell of a singer, but I don't know why I keep listening to him to the end. I can't bring myself to change video. I realize that he may not sing well now, but he put a lot of effort into this performance and that effort reached me. Inspirits should be proud and keep supporting him. thanks

Personally, I think his imperfections is what makes him perfect and truly beautiful. Honestly, yes, there is a lot of space for him to improve on his vocals and he knows it. However, his position in the team is being the Visual. I can honestly admit that he is one out of the few visuals who are the most talented. He can play the electric guitar, acoustic guitar, act, sing decently, dance decently and his face is a bonus. What more can we ask for?
Take it easy, I'm not saying he has to live up to MY expectations. When it comes to success, Kim Jaejoong of JYJ/DB5K achieved that: from a former idol star to a current actor/singer/songwriter, he is working hard to achieve his dreams plus he is able to take care of his family and friends because of that success. This is a positive thing that I wish Kim Myungsoo can achieve as well. Then again, this is something many of us want to achieve. Use our talents to take care of our loved ones.
