I hope you enjoyed your time at Ardnahoe. As someone who works there, it's always great to see people come from all over to visit our little distillery.
Hope to see you soon, maybe we'll have some whisky for you to try next time aswell.

Hoped we could have been back by now. That whisky will be worth tasting soon. Cheers.

Such a beautiful location looking across the sound to Jura. Great place to while away some time trying a few malts from the menu. Plenty of Highland and Speyside material if your palate needs a breather from the typical Islay style. Cheers.

I felt a bit guilty that we rushed through. It is an idyllic location.

Quite a contrast walking in there compared to the old distillerys you were just in, looking more like a California winery tasting room. Looks like it's working well that they are owned by an independent bottler they have lots of Whisky for sale while there's ages. Cheers

wow!! how were the prices on those "Old Malt Casks"? I didnt get what you said there. Damn not only need I get over to Islay for my first visit (I have only done Speyside, Highlands Lowlands, Skye and Orkney so far), but I think I need to drive a car all the the way so I can bring as much whisky as I can back home to Norway.

We found OMC to be good value so far. Typically in the £75 - £150 range. I was commenting how we bought a similar bottle in CA for less.

Really interesting selection given they're an Islay distillery. A lot of repeat names in their cask selections - they must have some decent trade links to. Whilst the old Port Ellen and Macallan's weren't cheap by normal persons standards they are considerably cheaper than the official releases at those ages!
I find it a tad irritating when you got to a bar like that with an extensive selection of single casks and you stand their squinting trying to read size 16 font from 4 metres away. Did they also have a list you could browse?
Can't wait to visit the distillery myself the next time we're over. Will probably try and leave a day free to just sit and sample the Douglas Laing range overlooking that view 👍

Yes a fat whisky menu is on hand. We were rushing through so no time for drinks at that one

Looks like a nice place. I remember it from Roy's video. Are they doing tours yet?

I did not ask about tours as it was just a drive by

Still a few years even for a work in progress release

Nice selection... None of it looks like it's going at bargain prices.
