  • VIdeo on VW CC Passat showing how to replace the heater blower motor, it is the same procedure on most VAG group cars, so will apply to VW, Audi, Skoda and Seat, in this case it's a 2013 VW Passat CC / VW CC.
Amazon link to the heater blower (good quality one, complete with resistor): amzn.to/3XDVqdJ

Secret...you can easily pull the motor on any 2000 and up vw without removing the glovebox or anything else except the two screws holding the pad. They have a tab lock, that's it. Gently pull the table down one cm so it clears the dog ears and turn the housing, it will only move in One direction. Now gently pull down. The carpet at the top will need to be pressed towards the firewall to give you clearance but it will come down easily. Installation is in the reverse order.

Good to know, thanks for sharing, I just went the 'standard way' - I'd rather remove items and be able to see clearly what I'm doing, than brake them by accident... Makes sense though, will see next time. Thanks!

You don't have to remove the glove box sir. Just pulled the table down and turn then match the carpet and it will come down. I know because I have a 2013 TDI Passat but I have gone to the junkyard and removed just about every year from 2000 up and it takes about 3min to do on jetta, gti, golf, bettle and cc. If you need a new blower motor, the CC has the same motor and resistor as the Passat
