- Cheap and filling meals in Auckland are a rarity if you don't know where to look. Once we saw a New Zealand article promoting a new Malaysian joint serving breakfast for less than $10 we were more than excited!
Kedai Mamak may just be one of the cheapest Malaysian spots in Auckland. From $5.50 noodles to Nasi Lemak for less than $10...you best bet we'll be skipping expensive brunches in the foreseeable future!!!
Enjoy!

That Nasi Lemak looks so delicous ! I really wish I could have Malay food right now (I especially miss Roti Canai and Seafood Laksa).
So cheap and satisfying!! Need to try their dinner menu next time 😆
It was interesting to see.
You need to be on TV...🥰 I absolutely love your reviews... you make me think that living in Auckland could be worthwhile... I LOVE Malay food
Thank you so much!!! Fingers crossed you never know 😂 Auckland definitely has its moments here and there haha 🤣
It looks very authentic Malaysian food. I can tell by the crowd in the cafe, it is very popular. A very good place for homesick Malaysian. It is a gem that you found it.
Thank you! We definitely had to visit after seeing the lines when it opened. Really an enjoyable meal!
Pakai chopstick kat kedai mamak haha. Memang rare. Tak pernah terjadi kat Malaysia.

In Malaysia its weird to see chopsticks in a mamak eatery. cheers

Yooo it's definitely on the list for later this year!! Papakura is just so far from where we stay 😅😅😅
why is this channel underrated 🤨
Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
Fuhh nasi lemak dia nampak padu wehhh 😂😂😂
Note: Do try the nasi lemak with a sunny side up or in malaysia we call it telur mata kerbau & it seriously takes it to a whole new level
Ooh yes great idea!!! Will definitely give it a go next time :)
The best and only way to eat nasi lemak is to mix the chicken and vege with the rice.....all in a scoop instead of eating them separately.
Malaysia foods fucking amazing ❤️❤️❤️
Agreed!!
I'm going to go there this weekend, i live in Mt Roskill and this is basically a 5 minutes drive. Thanks for the awesome video.

You should introduce your lady friend as well in the beginning of your video
🤤
Wtf $10?? It looks like an average nasi lemak u can find that's are under $3-4 in Malaysia
Well yes because this is New Zealand and not Malaysia 😅
@@locavore_eats maybe ur right
New Zealand,bro...Not in Malaysia...Even now in Malaysia, food became expensive, but not worth it...If in the village not hard to find delicious food but cheap...
New Zealand bro. Not Malaysia. Aiyooo
no shit, clearly it said AUCKLAND in the title. But I mean. $10 converted to rm is Rm40. for nasi lemak seems a little bit too much?
Great find below n10.I’m a fan of indian inspired food
Good to know that. Nasi Lemak is not an Indian inspired food. It is a Malaysia national dish. Roti Canai is from India, literally from a place called Chennai in India, hence the name.
🙏🙏🙏
@nick On What? Nasi Lemak?
Yes, it is a Malaysian national dish. You can google 'Nasi Lemak'.
Come to Malaysia bro, u'll eat urself silly 😜
Haha definitely one day!! We can already feel the many kgs we're gonna gain when we go 😂
I went there, food is cheap alright so is the taste and service. I wish you guys are more honest with your food reviews. I was so disappointed.
Hey, thanks for watching! We are always honest in our videos...maybe you just didn't enjoy the meal as much as we did? Just different opinions 🤙
@@locavore_eats you're not honest nor humble. Sound too defensive and delusional...not a good sign for youtuber, amen!
I disagree with you. It looks very authentic Malaysian food. Even the colour of the fried chicken looks very Malaysian. Taste is a subjective matter.
@@ebarkuong Taste is a subjective matter. The crowd is the testament of the popularity of this cafe.
@@ebarkuong Hey man, it's okay you don't need to be so defensive because someone challenges the absolute truth that is your opinion 😅 I appreciate that you tried this place for yourself and I respect that you didn't enjoy it, but each to their own. I might show your comments to my family later just so we can have a good laugh about the baseless delusion of your comments 😆 Oh sorry...am I getting too defensive and cocky? AMEN!!!!
Look yummy I Food Leveling
Thank you!
