I definitely think that the resources/leveling system has to be reworked in LADS. I really love playing the game, but I definitely don't see it having a super long shelf life when it takes weeks to get enough resources, money, and exp bottles. And that doesn't include farming protocores which is becoming more useful than leveling at this point
This has been a main driving rework that I want to see in the game. It's why my first video on this channel was created. What's sad is that players will only really understand this once they've been playing for a longer period of time. Beginners or super casual players who only log in once in a while won't feel this upfront. But people who play daily and want to upgrade more than just one LI will feel this after roughly 1 to 1.5 months. It's definitely a killer of the game if it struggles to retain their players longer than that timeframe. Sure you have the story elements and all the other things but overall progression is a snail's crawl.
I play all of Hoyoverse games and WW, and Tears of Themis is really different to LADS imo and I’ve been playing Tears of Themis for almost 2 years. LADS actually felt more like HSR and Genshin to me, just because the battle system and end game modes. Abyssal Chaos example is definitely another version of SU and Divergent Universe, and I love it. Their cores system is very similar to artifact grinding in Genshin and relic grinding in HSR. We don’t have those things in Tears of Themis, as far as Im aware as it operates like a traditional otome game. Meanwhile LADS felt more than just an otome, it felt like an action rpg with dash of romance. It’s a great game, and I love so far what they did so hoping to see what else they have in store for us.
Thank you so much for the comment! Such a well explained experience! I think what a lot of players love about LADS is that it's mixing the things that we all want in a gacha. Decent combat and very precious moments with the LI's. It's great and I'm very thankful for your comment!
I think learning from your Contemporaries is important for growth. All these Gacha Games grow from competition not just from games in their own Genre but games across the space. I believe it’s important to understand what every gacha can do to be the best version of itself
Exactly my point! I'm not saying that this game is better than this game therefore the later is trash. It's just a way to see where one is lacking and where it can improve.
@@Gacha_GoblinI believe this mentality definitely needs to be encouraged because it could help understand what people want and how certain games can do these things in their own way
the biggest difference is that in LaDS there's not many characters to focus on to market every other week, the game runs by loyalty and dedication to a very small cast alone. That's the otome side that other gachas don't have which makes a big enough difference in my opinion. We will see if devs will keep changing and adding things related to rpg gachas I personally am all for it as long they don't lose themselves too much in it. They shouldn't forget the true essence of the game.
Hey there! Thank you for the comment! I will add that I see your point. There aren't a plethora of new characters coming out all the time but I think what they could leverage in their favor would just be the experiences we get with the LI's. Like they could do all the trope dates, or do the same thing they did with the workout cards and release each of those in between bigger drops. There are definitely things they could add that wouldn't take away from the core of the game.
@@Gacha_Goblin agreed, but honestly it's such a new type of game I'm sure the dev team has their anxieties in trying something too new especially knowing how sensitive the cn playerbase is. also very random but I was thinking the hype in fandom of myth solar pairs kinda remind me of the hype archons get in genshin but in a smaller scale if that makes any sense? Also while I was typing this 2.0 was almost like a new map area in a regular gacha game we had a bunch of updates and a new character means a lot, not just a new flavor of the month, it's game changing for gameplay and lore alike. truly it's so interesting to think about you could make another video just from these comparisons alone. and!! I wouldn't completely dismiss the ToT as a valid game to put side by side with LaDS, both are otomes, both have a card like gacha with elements and stats that are used in ""battles"", theres affinity system, a whole game mode to interact with LI, a phone game mode with calls and messages.... like 👀 I kinda wish ToT was a bit better though,,,,it's too much otome to appeal to a wider audience unfortunately.
People are too sensitive. 😅 Everything in this world is comparable depending on the context of what specific trait(s) you're comparing and why. We learned this in elementary school writing class. People are so afraid of drama that sometimes they create it themselves by overreacting to something harmless. There's nothing wrong with just talking and sharing ideas. And comparisons are often the best way to get someone to understand a point. Taking the time to listen to someone's thoughts (and actually put in the effort to understand others) is something that we need to do more of (especially online).
Truthfully, fast media in terms of twitter, reddit etc, has really killed that basic human skill. It's really sad to see but it's the plain and simple truth. Just because we can't see the other person on the other side of the screen, doesn't make it okay to just say whatever to them. Anonymity and a plethora of connections and opinions doesn't give us the proper training to be considerate of others. It's made such plain topics like this so "taboo". God forbid someone said they like WUWA better than ZZZ or any other hoyoverse game openly online. Suddenly an innocent opinion gets so much hate even when the opinion was stated in a non aggressive way. *sigh* I'm rambling lol It's just crazy to see people get so sensitive over nothing.

Meanwhile me who plays Love and Deepspace, HSR, Genshin and Honkai Impact 3rd: 👀👄👀💅✨
I been playing HI3 since 2018. As a player of all the games you mentioned, I uninstalled HI3 for these men in Love and Deepspace for space reasons 😂
