I would put houndour/houndoom in A or even S. Evolves fast, comes out early in the game, It’s strong and fast, with good moves, specially flamethrower and crunch(both with stab) and his special bulk is alright.
Shroomish is 100% the best Pokemon in the game when it comes to snagging shadow Pokemon with it having false swipe plus status moves. Access to strong fighting type moves with Breloom’s high attack stat is great too
I recently did a Mono Fire Run, and Flareon was surprisingly useful. Extremely high attack early on, pretty bulky, sand attack is really helpful for catching Shadow Pokémon, and it can let out some *FAT* Hyper Beams really early on. Houndoom was pretty helpful as well.
As someone who lost their soul to this game recently, I can say for sure that this tier list is pretty accurate. Except Houndoom. Houndoom is S and no one can tell me otherwise.

Really Colosseum should be remade with the improvements that XD did. Really if: the content were extended, a lot more Pokemon added, and all current mechanics were added this could be a really great remake. Also make the natures able to reset with each battle so as to give the player a good chance to reset for nature. Tanking is really hard in doubles as tanks get hit first and can be teamed up against. Tanks can work in doubles but usually need to support one another

Woah, you remember the Gamestop Demo?! I thought I was the only one! That demo was my first ever Pokemon experience, and is the main reason why I like Gardevoir so much. It was basically my first starter.
it's an experience that sticks out in my mind after all these years, lol. Pokemon XD was one of the first games I was really excited for before it launched
I used a Relaxed Ariados and honestly was pretty useful alongside Shiftry and Flareon. There are a lot of things that just die to Signal Beam. And to be honest, it is the only move you will be using since the others are awful and it needs to evolve to be useful. But Ariados is pretty good from my experience.
I've won the entire game with just Vaporeon and Walrein. The game has a weakness to bulky pokemon in general. They don't have to be an extremely heavy hitter or a fast pokemon, but by the time you reach Greevil, you're stronger than his entire team. Squishy pokemon is not good when you're aiming to catch shadow pokemon.
I think tanks warrant a bit more consideration in xd/colo since you're fighting all double battles. You can send in a tank alongside an attacker and have them status the opponent or help your team while your other critter attacks. This is good for dusclops/foretress/umbreon etc (I found duscops a fun pokemon even if it took a long time to evolve, helping hand is good) but granted, tanks are still hurt in xd specifically since you can't get the toxic tm until the one of the post game colosseum challenges.
That Spinarak placement is wild. He's wayyy better than Seedot in XD, without a doubt. Signal Beam gets STAB on so many pokemon, has high power to match the high base attack stat, and Night Shade is perfect for safe hits on shadow Pokemon if you're worried about ko'ing them. He's at least a C tier, if not B tier in XD. Justice for Spinarak 🙏 🙏 🙏

The first time I ever played XD when i was 8 years old and didn't know anything my entire main team was D-tier and below on your chart (Umbreon, Seel, Lunatone, Mawhile, Gligar, Zubat). I think shroomish is a little low here Breloom is super strong though shroomish takes a bit of babying before you can evolve it.
My fav team for this game was a sun team, with shiftry and houndoom in the lead (awesome chlorophyll boost and stab for doom) and espeon with fighting coverage and that 75% heal with morning sun
I've recently nuzlocked this Game and I can ensure you jumpluff is the best mon on the game. And in the postgame sableye is a beast because of fake out and he can helping hand to a explosion/self-destruct without taking damage
Poor togetic, it ain't that bad. It's a great support with moves like reflect, light screen, wish and follow me. Or even as a status spammer with serene grace + water pulse and body slam. Plus the niche safeguard + swagger, it can help and buff pokemon like hariyama or ursaring (both with access to earthquake and focus punch).
Let's see my team in 2010 when I played this game was Flareon, Ursaring, Ariados, Togetic, Salamance, and Lugia. Lugia replaced Ledian and Salamance replaced Mightyena for the final battle. Honestly that first playthrough was magical because it was before I knew what pokemon were good or bad and I just picked whomever I liked.
Vaporen gets access to Water Pulse as soon as you can fight the first 3 zones in Mt. Battle, which I think it after the first lair. It's unlocked after defeating Zone 2. Currently going through ONBS having taught it Water Pulse and Icy Wind and it's very powerful.
I'm just going to say that starmie can learn surf thunderbolt psychic and ice beam yes it's late but starmie also has a huge special defense great for the last couple battles imo better than F tier
Shellder that can become an instant Cloyster with STAB ice beam is way better than E tier. Blows both Weepinbell and Pidgeotto out of the water, which are somehow higher…..bruh

I'm just saying detect and earthquake is a cheese worthy of bumping meditite up and you can teach bulk up by beating Mt battle floor 8 shadow ball high jump kick bulk up and detect is pretty damn good pure power and eq synergy + bulk up raising defense so it can tank more hits is just nice in general

Super biased. Heard evolving at level 30 as anywhere between super late to pretty quick. Seems like he forgot Toxic exists, as well as the fact that almost everything in the game spans surf/earthquake.
Sorry I only saw your comment recently. I wasn't entirely sure what you meant about the evolution levels so I checked a couple of my ratings (Teddiursa, Ralts, Mareep). When it comes to evolution levels, I'm more likely to say that they're late if the Pokemon is fairly weak in the meantime. I would say Teddiursa and Voltorb evolve kinda late because you're stuck using them as weaker Pokemon before they hit 30. I would say Kirlia and Flaaffy evolve early because they're perfectly decent in the meantime. I probably should've been more clear on that front; like, I should have just said that Mareep and Ralts got higher ratings because they have good middle evolutions. As for Toxic: I assumed the player was trying to get through the game at a decent pace. The reason I never mention Toxic is because it's slow. That's why I generally ranked tanks pretty low... Having them stall out opponents with Toxic and Confuse Ray is very effective but it takes longer. Eventually I wanna revisit this tier list and make some updates. Ironically I do plan on moving up Duskull and Pineco, lol
For sure! I don't play Colosseum as much but I've still played it enough times to do a decent tier list, probably. I'll probably want to play through it again to job my memory.

Apparently there is almost no good ground pokemon. Besides quagsire and camerupt... smogon tier put baltoy/claydol really low... cause I 5hink earthquake comes too late, there is no dig and most ground types have no good natural moveset

It's a little glass cannon so if you don't have a defensive mon with it it's a little difficult but I love it

I remember going to Sears a bunch of times just to play that demo before I got the game myself. Made even Parasect seem decent

You should also consider how useful they are for the whole game. Mount battle can take a while and has much stronger enemies than the main story
