    One of the best drop swirls I've seen!!! The distinction in the different colors they didn't blend and I totally thought they would be all smudged together but they came out perfect!! You can see every single individual drop clearly!! Amazing micas! Love your videos!

    • @OpheliasSoapery
      @OpheliasSoapery  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sheena Castanha I thought they would all blend together too. I think that’s why I avoided it for so long lol. But I’m glad I finally did it. Maybe the key is to have the batter that fluid every time 🤔🤔🤔

    • @breclaytor5774
      @breclaytor5774 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can do it with a thicker batter and it won't blend the color, it will just make the drops less deep. I think the biggest mistake ppl make is not using enough colorant to make the proper contrast. Amazing soap btw. Just beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

      Paula Raynes awee! Do you Soap at room temperature? Whisking in colors will help too. Instead of mixing with the blender.

    • @christinebowes2528
      @christinebowes2528 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Paula Raynes I’m going through this now.. One of the keys to have more unsaturated fat than saturated in your recipe.

    • @agirlwithdifferenttools5850

      Most floral fragrances will thicken your batter.

    Beautiful soap! I have the same size mold from Nurture. Do you mind telling me your recipe size? My bars seem to be a bit on the short side. Trying to keep my loaf size not too tall for unmolding. I do use Sodium Lactate to help with unmolding. Your drop swirl was stunning! Thanks for the video.

    • @OpheliasSoapery
      @OpheliasSoapery  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Teresa Luthye Thank you! I use 44oz of oils. When I calculate how much oils I need I say my bars are 4” tall to give me room at the top :)

    • @teresaluthye1153
      @teresaluthye1153 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Cant wait to try this! Curious tho I normally throw my mica colors in my dish with the lye already mixed. I see some ppl mix it to oil first, is that the oil already measured to be added when mixing the lye or do you add extra for that? Thanks for sharing :)

    I think your soap is gorgeous. But I am curious about something...Did you slice off both sides of this loaf or only one side? What was your reason for doing this?

    • @OpheliasSoapery
      @OpheliasSoapery  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nancy Hebert the mold is wider than I like my bars so I slice off some to make it my usual bar size. I cut them up and use them as samples :)

    • @OpheliasSoapery
      @OpheliasSoapery  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I make my bars smaller than the mold. So I cut that part off and sent them as free samples to customers.
