I am a Nigerian and people don't know that our grandfathers from Nigeria, Ghana, India and other then British colonies were also deployed to fight in this war by the British colonial masters and many of them never returned to Africa or India but sadly their exploits and sacrifices are never fully reported in the history books written by Americans and Europeans

Victory Day is mostly about WW2. The Russians made one of the biggest sacrifices to save the world from the Nazis. Yet nobody ever seems to credit The Soviet Union when WW2 comes up, a true shame. So I think in a way this parade is important so younger generations don't forget what their grandfathers and great grandfathers have done for us.
