Nemex, while Vengir is a very cool tribe, has an amazing look, and can be fun to play, it is not a strong tribe in the game compared to other tribes with better resources and starting tech

Ai-mo is underrated in ffa maps. If you can avoid fighting and build up, access to cheaper tech lets you outpace the rest of the map especially with embassies
You mean philosophy with Ai-Mo. Sometimes it is worth it to get philosophy. Depends on what resources you start with

Espark Cym is a T1 tribe not T0 (unless corner spawn and you move the shaman to uncover the lighthouse)
Yeah, cym is not t0 tribe unless lighthouse spawn, but those were nerfed in 104
Yes. You can't get a workshop on the first first with Cymanti. However, most PolyChamps players consider Cymanti a t0 tribe

Your tier list is really cool and truthful because of your polychamps experience ! However, sometimes, the level of the player is more important than the tribe, because recently, I won a 256 tiles 1vs1 game as xin-xi against yaddak because I spotted villages early and I researched smithery which allowed me to pressure the riders with swordsmans ! But I agree with most of your rankings. Btw, thanks for your dedication in filling this channel, it is growing very fast and you are dominating the current polytopia views on youtube ❤
Absolutely. A skilled player with a mediocre tribe can usually beat an inexperienced player with a strong tribe. Also, luck can be a big factor in Polytopia
I'm surprised there's no list for 1v1 small lakes map. It's quite a popular map on polytopia and rarely have to wait for matchups. I also feel like it's the most balanced map of all types, since no S or even A tier tribe have a definite clear advantage over the other.

Kickoo does alright on drylands. Not great, but alright. Hoodrick recently got nerfed because lumber huts cost 3 stars

5:04 haven't played in PC in some time, but do people there not try to rush Philosophy before Organization/immediately after Organization? Seems like the best way to make use of the tech without it being relgated to a late game tech

@@polychampions depends on map, sure. Depends on resources... Idk. Again, I'm not sure if I just don't play Ai-Mo right or PC players play a little too safe. Using the example from your guide on when not to Philosophy rush (matching resources), unless you 100% plan on not getting Philosophy, you're actually still behind by not rushing Philosophy (if you rush, turn 6 starts with 11 stars, but if you don't rush, and upgrade as you shown, Philosophy costs 13 and you start turn 6 with only 19 stars). Those tech costs add up fast and getting it before Organization is much more important unless it's a small enough map where you expect to be attacked

putting the xin-shi low is criminal, slow to start but a massive snowball effect, especially with quick access to forges
The problem with Xin-xi is that climbing doesn't help the economy or attack. It can take a long time for Xin-xi to catch up with other tribes
@@polychampions Not if played right, xin-xi should have been placed higher at least on 2v2, as while they may not have a turn zero tribe they can get up to speed and overtake multiple other tribes if played well, especially with their abundance of mines and forge areas.
Why doesn't Vengir get a military buff then?
Like their giants get "Dash" to be like a "super swordsman" and being a reward for surviving that long while also keeping the early game super hard.

Well, it isn't my idea, it's just one some other guy had but I thought matched Vengir the most..
Dash isn't cool since giants move just one tile. Crabs have escape/dash skill and using it is very situational. Vengir's giant could attack after moving for example. This could be something practical but also could make them too powerful. Wdyt?
@polychampions Honestly, that's a great idea. I do think normally your idea would be considered too powerful, but due to this being... Vengir, it would be fair.
It would be an appealing reward for actually surviving to the point that you could get a giant and also keep the challenge of playing Vengir. I guess it also works because Vengir's "identity" is their swordsmen, and making the giant being able to attack after moving would make the giant like a "super swordsmen."

I’ve seen a recent trend that back in the day xin xi was known to be superior to ai mo but now people have changed their minds and have decided that ai mo is better now??🤔🤔
Ai-Mo is still not great. The only advantage to Ai-Mo is the Altar of Peace monument and the access to Philosophy. However, that is better than starting with climbing

The best tribe? Aquarion or luxxidor
Aquarion on water maps absolutely the best. Unfortunately lux is always struggling because of the resources they get, that's why it's not on a top position.
Elyrion is b tier on archipelago just because they can afford navy more easily
But they can't get good sanctuary spots on archi

Nah. Vengir has a terrible economy. The only drylands map they do okay on is tiny

1v1 small drylands: Zeb is probably s tier with the swap of burn/destroy. Cym is not really s tier now that people have learnt to counter them
1v1 archi: cym seens terrible on water maps. They will just get obliterated by bokbers while having pretty much no way to counter them if you defend them. Ai-mo is certainly good, but probably not the same tier as zeb/imp. Id cobsider making a new tier for cym ai-mo lux quetz
FFA dry: do like cym more in FFA than 1v1, but id probably still swap cym/zeb. maybe could have been good to mention Xin-Xi's high giant potential, but I doubt it impacts thier tier
2v2 Dry: I like cym a lot more in 2v2. Shared vision for hexapods and teammate can use ZOC to protect squishy units and break a kill zone which literally hard counters cym in 1v1. Quetz feels like it's better on water maps because of shields in boats but I guess it's still B. Zeb could maybe be A with burn/destroy swap, I think I have better results with zebasi than imperius currently
2v2 archi. Note cym is only 4pt in this set because of lakes map types. They are horrible on archi. Like seeing quetz in B.
True. We made this video on version 103, before burn forest was put in construction tech.
@@polychampions ah ok then. Also I personally feel like cymanti is overrated but most of my experience is 1600-1700 elo randoms, so I haven't played much Vs recognised good players playing cymanti
Hoodrick is actually a very good team. Cymanti the best though.

@@polychampions I only recently started playing. I'm guessin' a week after the new update dropped? I bought and started with Cymanti not knowin' anything about the game. At the time I thought they sucked so I bought Hoodrick and did pretty good.

Correct. Cymanti is not a true t0 tribe. Unless you have a lighthouse spawn and can move the shaman to uncover the light hose. However, most scenarios, cymanti is not a t0. The upgrade is on t1
However, Cymanti is one of the strongest tribes in the game, perhaps the single strongest if you look at drylands maps
So calling it a t0 tribe is not quite accurate, but it is as strong or stronger than other t0 tribes

This list is outdated now because of fishing as t1 tech. v104 is the current version while this tierlist is v103.
Plus the data from 1v1 league is 99% inaccurate because it is from versions very far back.
Read the text in the video and the description, please. We mentioned that it's based on v103. It took some time to gather the material and in the meantime v104 appeared. It doesn't change much though.
@@polychampions There is 0 purpose in releasing a tierlist for an outdated version. It wouldn't have taken much effort to update it.

Cymantis super unit needs a nerf if its always gonna be available by turn 8 or 10. They are not fun to play against. Even against the bots.
