"Music is passion. Music is hope. Music is life." The best statement I've ever heard on the place of music in the world. From a 17 year old, no less. ❤
And is close friends with the barefoot assassin. I'm so happy Ale and Misa are close. They are both so reserved, but amazing. Made for each other (as friends). We know Dany's SO can just take eyebrow measurements every hour to figure out what to do, and Pau is going to love someone to death. ❤️⚡🤘 I wish nothing but happiness for our ladies, but they make awesome music from a dark place.
Hi, Renaissance Man! I could watch this performance a thousand times and cannot get enough of it! Why is that? It`s soooo good! And the girls are so amazing. It`s fire. (Not just this one). Greetings from Germany. By the way, I`m 55 years old.
Dany face turned up to 1000... and let's not overlook the Ale "sneer" (and I mean that in only the best way) So glad they caught that. Just.... Wow... I wonder if they knew they were writing what is (and always will be) an old school stadium anthem
In a recent interview they were asked to name their top 5 best songs, and Ale immediately said 'Survive', so I think they still enjoy playing it ('Automatic Sun' was number 1) ;)
I still like the TEDx version, and I understand that their voices are more mature now but I still like that version. They were asked to list their top 5 The Warning songs, Survive took the fifth place.
A great reaction to a fantastic performance of an amazing tune played by three ace musicians who have written a mind-blowing catalog of killer songs! 🤟 (and who inspired that dope poster!)
I actually have several I made when I first became a fan. You can find them on my Lawson Creations Facebook page. The Dany one was inspired by her TedX speech before Survive.
The jam session to close out the song is certainly a call back to "classic rock". I'm also among those who appreciated the addition of the strings during this show, based on one of your opening comments.
This is the one that hooked me 4 years ago from the TedX performance, I just love it, that outro is mesmerizing much like Shatter Hearts from the Dakota Bar.
I'd say they didn't only survive but flourished. I love that poster. If you ever sell them, let me know. That is my favorite quote, and I use it all the time.
Ken, I've been a musician for 40 years and played with my brother for almost all that time, and I'll say this, nothing individually that DPA play is terribly difficult aside from Pau singing and playing.😬😂 Even the Evolve hook in 7 isn't that tough, but their energy and how tight they are as a sibling band cannot be faked or mimicked, believe me, I know. I will say, Pau on this song wrote some next level drumming. The verse rhythms, the chorus with double 16th's on the hats. The last 8 bars, hands swinging back and forth. Left doing hats to snare, right hand switching cymbals. All this above 90bpm. That syncopation is not easy. 😮
Love the leaning head thing that we all noticed Pau doing in previous shows. This is the first time Ive seen Ale doing it too! And the swinging guitar! Hank Marvin would enjoy that!
Another reactor spotted Ale & Pau's head movement at Teatro Metropolitan video. I went back to the 2020 Survive live videos. The girls didn't do that back then. Checked Mayday tour videos & their it was. *TELLS ME IT PROBABLY HAD TO DO WITH DAVID BENDETH TOLD ALE & PAU WERE NOT PLAYING TOGETHER.* When they got back to Monterrey to get their rhythm on time. Maybe that's something they worked on in The Cave to see themselves better. Dany doesn't do it.
Always the first!! The best thing of music rock, different for commercial genres, is their beeing without time! A rock song is never old in your playlist!
My first Warning video was Fil at Wings of Pegasus reacting to Survive at TedX Talks. *WHERE THE ORIGINAL LIVE INTRO WAS ALE ON THE KEYBOARDS.* Then Dany started the intro on the guitar for a period of time. Then Ale added in her bass riff. Would it sound any better today if Ale would play the keyboards again??
its not for me to say that this song is about 'break up' song. But, it come down to an unite song. Yep, that Pau voice in their record with a little touch kinna like singing through a megaphone or something like that. but, now a days. This song is kinna like 'Whoever love The Warning need to know this song' type.. :)
The guitar part you heard during the jam that you said you never heard before IS being played by Dany; it's not a track. When you watch it again on your own time, pay very close attention to Dany's pinky finger. She's hitting the high octave of the chord with an upstroke on the B and E strings.
Thanks. I'll check it out. I thought she might be doing that but didn't want to bore the non-musicians going over it. That's why the comments are invaluable to point out what I miss.
This is not being played by Dany live. This is the right channel rhythm section that's clearly heard in the original studio track from XXI Century Blood, re-recorded for the live releases. It was mixed in left channel very low at Teatro and the track continues to play after Dany takes lead at Pepsi Center clear up to the end of the song.
" Music is pasion, music is life " Dany
"Music is passion. Music is hope. Music is life."
The best statement I've ever heard on the place of music in the world. From a 17 year old, no less. ❤
And she didn't get enough applause for that which I find sad.
Ale’s Gene head shake and Headstock shift with Danny is Epic ! Ale’s sultry voice is so sweet here with the oh oh ohs

Alejandra. The silent assassin.
And is close friends with the barefoot assassin. I'm so happy Ale and Misa are close. They are both so reserved, but amazing. Made for each other (as friends).

YEP !!
The synchronized hair flips between Pau and Ale always crack me up.
and the synchronized moves between Ale and Dany
Love this song, this outro just kill me every time. Especially if you heard the TEDX 2016 or 2017 version when they were kids. Congrats man🎉🎉🎉🎉
At the beginning Ale is looking at the crowd like: "You better stay on key or else"😂🤣

So much energy and joy on that stage. Great poster!
I like how Ale gets in "the last word" in this song.
In a recent interview they were asked to name their top 5 best songs, and Ale immediately said 'Survive', so I think they still enjoy playing it ('Automatic Sun' was number 1) ;)

I’ll miss not having this one in their sets going forward. Maybe they’ll add it back in when they are doing two hour sets in the future.
Longer sets are for sure in their future.
I hope they start playing longer and bringing their full stage production to the US next year.

Always love seeing The Eye of the Storm stand up and really lead the charge. Nothing better than everything Paulina does so well!
I love Pau and Dany duets! The choreography, Dany and Ale's guitar swings, Pau and Ale's head bobs. I love everything about this song!
Oh, boy, this song always delivers, pure ❤
Survive will survive, always.
PS : your Dany's poster is great.
Yes it will, its their mantra.the Warning will survive. 💯
this girls ROCKSSSS... TANKS AMIGO THE WARNING ARMY
Thank you Ken for all your valuable insight.
This is the one that hooked me 4 years ago from the TedX performance, I just love it, that outro is mesmerizing much like Shatter Hearts from the Dakota Bar.
I like that the times the camera catches a big smile on Ale the it quickly goes away like she got caught doing something wrong.
I'd say they didn't only survive but flourished.
I love that poster. If you ever sell them, let me know. That is my favorite quote, and I use it all the time.

Everything you said and a bag of Takis.

I hope that some day Ale and Dani share lead vocals in a song, i can only dream.

Well… Dany and Ale do the guitar swing while Pau is singing. Similar kinda vibe.
Just watched this drop, left the 2nd comment. The energy of this particular piece is over the top! Love it!
'What is the energy of this piece, Mr. Spock?'
'Over the top, Captain".
Good afternoon Ken, great reaction. God Bless you Man🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Great song ! Nice reaction. 🤟🏼🎸🥁🎸🤟🏼
You are faster than Flash, Ken! 🏃🏻🏃🏻
Always the first!! The best thing of music rock, different for commercial genres, is their beeing without time! A rock song is never old in your playlist!
I've never put much atention to the head and guitar moves, now I'll do that in all their songs 😂
This was a breakthrough song. Totally epic ending. Just letting rip!
My first Warning video was Fil at Wings of Pegasus reacting to Survive at TedX Talks. *WHERE THE ORIGINAL LIVE INTRO WAS ALE ON THE KEYBOARDS.*
Then Dany started the intro on the guitar for a period of time. Then Ale added in her bass riff.

I think the keyboard gave it a more show tune feel. The guitar/bass intro works, I think, even though I did love seeing Ale do the keys.
Watched Again, for the love of The Warning!
Thanks! You Rock!

Ahora hay que ir a ver el TDEx del 17 otra vez 😜
This song has not ever been one of my favorites, but the jam has grown on me and Ale's ending is perfect.
This song will never get old. Oh and can you send me that poster 😁
🤟

Ale looks like a mysterious ancient queen here, namely Cleopatra. 3:01

Hi In the Teatro when Pau was up high and she didn't like it. I think it's because she was to far away from her sisters.

@@RaveEpic, I don't think we're referring to the same thing. As I said, carefully watch her pinky hitting that octave that Glenn is talking about.
I wish they would leave in the guitar echo at the very last note that their Ted performance had.
I ask me, more often, how can they disappoint her fans.... HOW... if their performances (even sick) are this full of energy!?!
And they were SICK???????? if not.... what would have happened!!! 😂😂
Security would have had to be called in to gently drag them off the stage while they were still playing their 8th encore. 😆
I think levitation and light emanating from their bodies would have been involved.

“Free Bird” for the 21st century. That song that crowds will always clamor for over & over. Just an epic jam session.
