Looks as great as that day I photographed him on the range at Oakdale Golf Club in Toronto.

"What's straighter than straight?": Moe Norman. When I start with my legs straight (no locked knees, just straight) then I can only get to the right knee bend at impact. When I start with bent knees, I bob up and down like an ocean buoy. Moe had it figured out. The braced trail knee at the top of the backswing is easier to get to and the "foot in a slipper" lead knee at impact makes all the difference. That ball flies straight and true. A joy to behold and I love hearing my buddies say: "Great drive, right down the pipe!" Thanks Todd.

Hi Todd Graves member, one important thing I just noticed from Moe's swing is he keeps is right arm tucked to is chest and let's is right shoulder pull is right arm , there is no flying elbow so it keeps him on plane, no need for timing or thinking it naturally happens.

The caveat is describing " what seeing " . I see a swing with the intention of a deliberate hitting of the ball delivered to that point from the control of the grip and wrists - forearm leading the club making the swing plane , club pendulum shalower motion but hands continue on one plane downswing . All comes together to a point delivered to the ball where the club catchs up from the leading of the club from grip and wrist -forearm . ( Released point) From there after ball been hit the rest is just natural momentum from speed and weight distribution /centrifical force where the club head takes over from being led , into leading . Incendental are the movements of body parts . Follow through is
Rooted in staying with the shot. Or one could interpret staying down on the shot .
Perceive the key takeaway on the drill demonstrated what the left hip does also left nee .
If you play the hip or nee too much going into impact , causes the shoulder line to be off , you miss shots to the left ( Mo seems to play his trail nee straighter inwards not bent out and around )

I have a chicken wing in my swing and I have a hard time releasing it and being aware of my left arm stopping so my right arm moves through is a huge breakthrough. Haven't tried it yet but looking forward to it! The best instructor on TH-cam / off TH-cam.

Make sure your lead hand position is neutral as well. Lead hand / lead arm and lead shoulder control the squaring of the club face.

Yes, acceleration and stopping makes the clubhead fast.

You mentioned that you tapped it and it went 150, were you using a 7 iron?

Parallel position? To the target, or to the ground?

      Both

Na his follow through club plane is same or parallel to that of the downswing . Last quarter of the follow through isn't . I see after his arms are parallel to the ground on follow through is just posing .

That’s interesting. Moe’s swing also looked weird to me at first but now that I understand it and I’ve been teaching it for 30 years and understand the physics of it, see it as Natural and beautiful. Most other swings such as Jordan Spieth, John Rahm, Dustin Johnson, Jim Furyk - etc - look contorted, derived and unnatural to me now.
