The latter is only at 2 right now but the other two are at 4, so you could have been talking about either. I personally have done close to 2000 miles on Topo shoes and have never had one just fall apart on me, but manufacturing defects happen with every shoe manufacturer. The MT5 is a great all around beginner shoe with the same tread as the Ultraventure but a lower stack height and a more affordable price.
