Hi Cliff, I love watching re-enactments, it really gives you a much better idea of how people looked and the wares they were making and selling. Thanks for sharing, much love. xx 💖
Love this. Love Bagpipes, and the crafts. Yea money to buy is a problem. That's a beautiful spot to have a lunch in. Your famous, so glad you are being recognized. Linen might be ok to wear, buckskin would be hot. A real Randevous. Thank you Cliff.

This is awesome! I'm glad you came and check out the Reenactment. I fish at the Creek behind the fort. There is a ton of rich history in the area. Just over the mountain passed Cowans Gap is a town called Burnt Cabins. The town got its name from the early settlers burning the Cabins settled there to keep peace with the Indians.
whow gee wiz gobsmacked will deffo watch d rest of this Classic video tmw n again and n future was n sturbridge mass. once at their historical town near the broofields where i stayed with a family It broke my heart when i had to go back to my boring irish life that was few decades ago brian
You are 8n my daughters neck of the woods. Her husband's grandma lives in Fort Loudon in the mountains. So beautiful and lots to explore in the area. Her hubby's parents live in the mountains in St Thomas. They live near the Letterkenny Army depot. A beautiful area to. I love going out there for the day do much to see in do, Downtown Chambersburg is like Lebanon used to be. It's like going back in time. People are friendly. I'm glad you enjoyed the area. Beware they drive like crazy people in Chambersburg. Lol. The farmland and orchards are beautiful to.
I thoroughly enjoyed that. When I lived in York county on a farm from 1986 until 2001, I thoroughly always enjoyed going to Steam- O- Rama in October. Thank you Cliff. Loved watching everything you showed us.
Love these events that take us back in time to envision how life was like in the past! Thanks for making the trip and allowing us to enjoy it with you!
Met my hubby at Cowan’s Gap State Park nearby. He was from Mercersburg. Beautiful country! Have you ever been privileged to see Charlie Smithgall’s cannon collection in Lancaster? He used to provide them for the 4th of July concerts at Long’s Park for the 1812 Overture
While it's more fun immersing yourself by wearing period clothing and developing an impression, you may appear a bit "out of place" carrying and using any modern equipment while in garb. A clash of periods you might say. You may want to spend a day in garb without the tech and another day in modern attire with.

This looks fun! Almost like the Renaissance festival
Looks great, perhaps I will take my family someday.
Great video wish I was with you
Happy Pennsylvania Day!
Love this! I live just 17 miles north of here!
FYI....spelled Fort Loudon
Loudon is the modern spelling, Loudoun is the way it was spelled back in the day.
@@thewanderingwoodsman7227 oh...ok..thanks for the info 😊

The Indians had different Tents back then whxat starts can comeback well done n to participants too brian
Pretty cool stuff. Do you ever make it to the Kutztown folk festival? Hope you had fun. Stay well.
Haven't been there.
the stuff laid out on a blanket to sell as the folks doing that are called blanket traders.
You were seven miles from my house
What was the name of this event? I make shortbread all the time, very simple. I bet your Mom knows how to make it.
Fort Loudoun Market Fair
If you become a reenactor which king would you serve?
Good King George, who else!
I would be an independent frontiersman.
@@thewanderingwoodsman7227 That seems to suit you perfectly.
Reenacting would be a blast! Make friends with someone who is really into it and learn from them.
Except for the wearing wool in summertime issue. 🥵
Nice. Like an 18th century flea market, lol
