Dr Abraham Kuyper has shown that, contrary to the French Revolution, the US war of independence was not a revolution, but was essentially conservative. It did not change economic fundamentals, just as the 80 years was the war of independence of Holland from Spain, and was not a revolution. Upper dogs remained on top, underdogs remained oppressed.

Relation between Church and state is different in Latin America from the US, but that makes it less Western or more oppressive.

Fraternity suggests greater sentimental feeling. In contrast, egality is dispassionate; strictly professional. With fraternity, you feel sense a of camaraderie; like family. Whereas egality is strictly intellectual, scientific and prescriptive. Clearly, the Persian who referred to Richard feels a fraternal bond with non-Muslims as well as those of his own faith. That is, assuming he was being genuine. Moreover, the narrative on the Arab Spring being a backlash to globalization now seems like a story that will be told, in an era of Brexit, Trump, wall building, and banning refugees.

The longest speech I've ever listened to that never came to a point.

How can the students be interested in history when the professor is clearly not.

pretty sure he is more interested in history than any other person in the world, your comment is extremely disheartening, hopefully you have grown substantially these past six years
