  • Holy Shit!!! Get Your Headphones on for this one!
    This song was pure perfection.
In this video I reacted to MegaDeth for the first time.I was randomly scrolling youtube for a Megadeth song and settled on Lucretia because I thought the name sounded cool.
To my surprise I was completely blown away. Everything about this track from the vocals to the guitar solo was simply, amazing.
I hope you guys enjoy the reaction and leave your request down below.

And Dave is a hell of a fellow martial art brother & he was bad ass in real life !
He beat up James Hetfield & Ron McGovney at the same time & James rottweiler all at the same time, when he was in Metallica ! 😆
That & his crazy alcohol benze with them all the time, fighting & beating them up, is why they kicked him out. 😂
But be glad they did because we wouldn't have had Megadeth & Cliff Burton !

The Adventures of TNT You really have to know the history of Dave Mustaine to really appreciate his genius. Aside from his guitar skills while singing and his lyrical writing skills. He taught Metallica’s James Hetfield how to play. Then when he formed Megadeth the first 2 albums are with a drummer and guitar player who were jazz musicians with no heavy metal background and he turned them both into legends

I agree with you wholeheartedly. I've been a megadeth fanatic for a few years now and I think so too. Most people I've talked to say either this or dawn patrol is the weakest song on the album, but they're wrong, cuz there is NO weak song on the album. This song is personally my #1 favorite song from megadeth, above even pure thrash like loved to deth or amazing music like countdown to extinction

Malcolm Kyeremeh james hetfield wasn’t confident in his guitar playing, during the first few months and gigs with Metallica, James only sang, Dave was the only guitar player. James was also very shy and Dave was the one who acted as the front man during the breaks between songs talking to the audience. Dave also taught James the famous spider riff which he invented.

The entire album is a masterpiece, easily in the top three metal albums of all time, and because of that Lucretia often gets overlooked. The guitar work throughout is ridiculous. The Marty years were the best.
This song is an excellent showcase for Marty and Dave's different soloing styles. The first part of the solo is played by Marty Friedman. Marty has a very melodic and distinctive style. The second half showcases Dave's more direct in your face approach.

03:30 Man, I love how in your FIRST freaking Megadeth reaction you point out what to me is one of the most important thing in a solo, which is that even the best solo will only ever be as good as the accompaniement under it will allow, and how it and the solo are balanced together. All my favorite metal solos have incredible backing riffs behind them, and the soloists know when to tone down their chops to let it pierce through, or accent certain parts, etc -- basically work WITH it instead of just over it. Great reaction!

I seen Megadeth, in 2001. They played the commodore in Vancouver, Can, on September 12. A day after 9/11.
They were devastated, and Dave Mustaine, said before the show had started that they knew people in the towers, and didn't know if they were alive. The only reason the show was not cancelled, is because they couldn't fly home. They still put on a great show...but you could tell they were trying their hardest not to think about 9/11.

Man, great first choice. You can never go wrong with Tornado of Souls or anything from Rust In Peace for that matter. But my two favorite Megadeth tracks would surprise most people. FFF on Cryptic Writings and I also really like 44 Minutes from Endgame. Just steer clear of Risk and you’ll be fine ;)

I recall when Rust in Peace came out, they played the whole album on KNAC in Los Angeles back in 1990. This is one of my fave Megadeth tracks!

Hey man as much as ur digging Dave& th Boys, u should check out a live version of ' Symphony of Destruction ' done, I think in Brazil. I've never seen anything like it from any band ever! As soon as th song starts with its heavy hook, between 80-100k people start head-banging @ once in synchronicity! Its sooo intense!❤ Megadeth 🎸🎶🍻

I saw Megadeth In the 1990s in New York City. They were with Suicidal Tendencies, but they played most of the songs off of rest in peace. As a guitar player I stood to the side of the room to get out of the mosh pit so I could watch the band play. Absolutely awesome!

The guitar solo in this is one one of the best Marty Friedman ever did with Megadeth. I know Tornado of Souls is widely regarded as his best solo but this one is right up there with it. So melodic and badass all at the same time.

Yo man loving your reactions you’re doing great. You are right on the points you hit on . I do suggest for you do more classics from this disc specifically but many will request Tornado of Souls which like every damn reaction channel does I’d so much rather see you do 5Magics or Polaris or Taken no Prisoners and of course the other 2 Must-Listens Holy Wars and Hanger18. I’ve seen this version of the band twice and they kill it live much better than Metallica in concert

Glad ya enjoyed Megadeth. This is not even their best song (at least in my opinion.) Not saying this song is bad by any means... just that there are songs which outshine this song in various aspects. This entire album is pure thrash gold.. not a single bad song on it.
As for my suggestion.. I suggest their most recent album 'Dystopia' with the song "The Threat Is Real."
    Peace

Lead singer Dave Mustaine started ☢MEGADETH☢ in 1983. They are one of the Big Four thrash metal bands that started in the thrash metal underground that got no radio air play what so ever. MEGADETH has been kicking ass for 35 years. Marty Friedman is the lead guitarist playing on the "Lucrectia" tract from the album "Rust In Peace".
Another song you should review is "Tornado of Souls". It is a masterpiece.

I have to say you hit the nail on the head by describing their style as jazz metal, if you didn't know, the singer/rythme/lead guitarist Dave Mustaine was kicked out of Metallica while on their way to New York to record their first album. So just to let you know he is a pioneer in thrash metal history, not to mention that Megadeth has always been known as THE best musicians to play this genre of Godly music... unfortunately in their beginnings they never quite found the right producers for their albums, so they never had the deserved credit of masterpieces even though the musicianship is from another world!!! From Rust In Peace and on, you should receive the desired effect from listening to the skills of these virtuosos. I've seen them live 3 times and have been a major fan since Rust In Peace, being a guitarist myself can hear the greatness in all previous albums thanks to my trained ears, i am sad to tell you that Dave "the master" Mustaine had CANCER of the throat, and might never be able to sing again
