    At 4:03 sounds like you just upgraded your town hall on "Clah Of Clans", Nice Set up on the Yak. I'll definitely look in to some similar mods for my Lure!

      Ha, I need to start silencing my phone during these videos. That's ESPN always going off. Hope there isn't any copyright infringement there! 😂. Thanks by the way on the setup, I appreciate it.

    I didn't notice an anchor trolley. I have mine on the left, which will mean getting those paddle clips for the right side. ( I know, port and starboard), it won't get in the way of anchorage. But the way the transducer is mounted,seems like it would get in the way of actual fishing. You're the pro, just saying. Plus, I must get the rudder. Been spinning way too much, hopefully it will help. Thanks.

      Thanks for the tips. I've actually had an anchor trolley on every kayak so far. I have the Yakattack Anchor Trolley HD coming, I just haven't put in on yet. I have a river tournament coming up so that is a must. I don't usually use the depth finder in the river either. I will have to figure out which side is best, but so far I've always put it on the left side of all my kayaks. You are right about the rudder, it's worth it to have one for sure!

    what ram mount are you using to mount the bixby remote??? i can't figure it out.

      I am using the Ram Mount Hummingbird, Hook, and Elite Light Use Mount (www.sportsmans.com/fishing-gear-supplies/marine-electronics/marine-electronics-accessories/ram-mount-hummingbird-hook-and-elite-light-use-mount/p/1447325?channel=shopping&gclid=CjwKCAjw67ajBhAVEiwA2g_jEPw5012O-oIcTnUOYbJxkoaoPhpdKgjig16--RNW8Pd4kXdH4rVeoBoCCakQAvD_BwE) and I had a small extension on it. I got it super cheap when it was on sale and never used it for a depth finder. I just used it for the Bixpy remote.

    Looking at a moken 12.5 and lure 10. Is the moken 12.5 just as stable and easy to stand in compared to the lure 10?

      I have had both of these kayaks and I found it easier to stand in the 10 by far. It may be different for you but with the Lure 10 being 34 inches wide and the Moken only 32, the midth helps in stability. With that being said since the Lure is only 10 feet long, depending on where you stand the nose can feel like it dips down more. Not too big a deal but it's worth noting if you keep a lot of gear up front. The Moken will be faster as well. You will have to weigh the type of water you will mainly be fishing and if standing comfortably is what you want. Both are great kayaks though.

    Nice setup! I'm planning to do something similar with my bixpy. Ut deciding if I should buy the rudder mount or the pod mount. I plan to use in the bay and ocean. Any recommendations on whether it feels faster in the pod or the rudder position? Thanks in advance

      That's awesome. I haven't found that either is faster than the other really. I have tried it both ways so far, but I love the pod mount for easy of use and the ability to service the motor if need be right there at you. That beaver tail rudder is perfect for steering as well. I can can about 3.8 mph on water with the pod mount and a similar speed on the rudder.

    May I ask what the model and length is of your paddle? Thank you in advance.

    • @jonping8
      @jonping8  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is actually a 250cm. It was purchased for use with a higher seat and wider kayak but it works really well in the Moken. I'm only 5'8" but it's lightweight and the length doesn't bother me.
