I can tell you that Meghan Markle has NEVER lived as a black woman, doesn’t know about black culture and has always lived as a white woman. All day everyday, when a child is born in a black family EVERYONE will ask about how dark or light the baby is going to be. This happens All The Time in the black community. Claims of racism are like false claims of child abuse, whether sexual, physical, or emotional. The person being accused will always, from then on, be guilty in some people’s opinion. With no way to 100%clear their names and reputations. It is an evil, immoral thing to say about another person.
Until the accused says: "Prove it!" I really, really wish some high profile person would use this simple response, put the responsibility on the accuser to show the proof. Or even to bring a lawsuit and make the accuser prove it in court.
I don't at all think the royal family will be the high profile person(s) to do either of these things though, given their "never complain, never explain" policy and not wanting to get down in the dirt with those throwing the mud. But I hope for the day the "racism" spell will be broken, by someone greatly respected pushing back and challenging an accuser to provide evidence. I think that's the only hope of that word losing its power, because the fear people have of it is the only power it holds (unless of course, it is true, but I'm talking about untrue accusations).

When the Queen died and Charles became King, he was overwelmed with grief, he traveled to meet his new found subject and dignitaries in different locations. When he had the pen incident, he was probably exhausted, emotional, and struggling at the time. I would have been the same. I thought he handled everything very well, under the enormous strain he was under. Also having such a wayward son to contend with at such a time was horrendous for him.
He was still grieving the passing of his mother AND he was signing official documents and whoever was responsible for supplying the pen SHOULD have ensured it was in proper working order !!

The media outlets who caught this vision should have kept it to themselves and edited it out. I thought it was really unfair to make a big deal of it given the extreme stress/grief our new Monarch was under. I really don't know how our lovely King Charles managed to do all he did in the first few days and weeks after our darling Queen's passing. Most of us wouldn't even leave our home for weeks after such a loss. I kept hoping he would take time to be alone with Camilla and his family. We, the public, should be more understanding in these situations. When Diana died, every time someone said "where is our Queen?" I thought.....she's grieving herself and she is looking after her son and grandsons of course!" I thought it was absolutely ridiculous and downright mean to make demands on our Queen in such a situation. Perhaps Charles had this previous public reaction in his mind and worked himself to exhaustion to try and avoid a repeat? He was successful, at the cost ( I suspect) of his own health and wellbeing.

I had a nutmeg in my family and still have the only she is old now and no one wants to see her...least of all me. It didn't end til I was 62. All my life I had to endure her. In this scenario, I would like to see them sue and keep the funds for something that benefits them or their family. All those incidents with pens etc were within days of Her Majesty's death. His mother's death. The poor man had no time to grieve. He had nothing but sympathy from me.

Completely agree. The man had watched the Queen die just twenty four hours before. He was exhausted, grief stricken, doing his very best to honour his mother, his Country, and his family, pushing himself to the nth degree, and it wasn't enough for some. A tacky US news station decided to film him, unbeknownst to him, in a single weak moment, and this was the portrait of the King that they decided to broadcast. They ignored his dignity, his determination, his dedication, and went straight for the jugular. Despicable.

To me the pen moment showed not a King, but a human being that had just lost his Mom. A human being that could not break down and cry in front of the world. He had to keep it bottled up and it came out as frustration due to a pen. It's understandable.

The 'royal racist' story has changed so often it is ridiculous. Megsy first said it happened when she was pregnant with Archie to Oprah, but later in that interview, when Haz came on, he said it was not said to Megs and happened long before she got pregnant. What I take from it all is that Megsy is jealous as hell of Catherine and William, and that Scooby is furious with William (and by extension Catherine). Hell hath no fury like a Scooby scorned!

Lady Susan had travelled to those areas, She knew how the people dressed. The mishmashed "costume" puzzled her. Her job was to talk to people, find people who might interest the Queen and introduce them with an interesting fact about the, She had done this for Queen Elizabeth for years. This book was aimed at a specific audience; the sugars, those holding onto their own perceived victim story who associate themselves with MM, and the young audience who unquestioningly believe everything they read on social media. Book sales might be moderately successful but such an audience is not known for buying and reading books.

We wondered forever about what combination or compromise the kid would come out looking like cause it could literally have been anything. Turns out it was a beautiful and unique baby boy with dark skin and eyes like mom but blond hair. Gorgeous kid.

Hi River. Thank you for another insightful film. King Charles when he had the fountain pen moment was in deep mourning for his beloved mother as well as having the World on his shoulders in a new and extremely stressful job. I can completely understand his irritation. When my Mum was very ill before she passed, I had been sent to the chemist for a prescription for her and there was a queue , I literally wanted to punch everyone out of the way just because they were chatting and laughing and acting perfectly normally when my whole world was crumbling and I wanted the pain medicine for my Mum. Obviously I didn’t, but, I have never felt such rage so I can fully understand his stress and irritation at the leaky pen 💕

I am disgusted with Harry! Katherine was nothing but kind and inclusive of Prince Harry and he described her as the sister he never had until the green eyed monster came along. His wife was so jealous of the relationship between Harry and Katherine that she did all she could to turn Harry against Katherine! Shame on him as he had known Katherine for almost as long as William had. Katherine must have been very hurt by this. The Oprah winge fest was where the initial allegation of racism raised its ugly head. When Oprah suggested that this was racism Harry’s wife responded along the lines of “if that’s the conclusion you have come to I would say it is a good conclusion”! During the same winge fest she stated that “Katherine is a very nice person” Harry, after he and his wife accepted the award for challenging racism within the RF and was then asked about this Harry rather aggressively (IMO) said to Tom Bradbury it was the British press did M***** use the word racist? Having lived in this family they are not racist - “it was unconscious bias” Now all of a sudden it’s back to racism and it’s alleged it was King Charles and Katherine, Princess of Wales - “the very nice person”. Would she (Harry’s wife) have described Katherine “as a very nice person” in the same interview where she raised the issue of racism had she thought Katherine was a “racist”? IMO - They tell so many lies they can’t remember, which is the very essence of a liar! All I smell from Scabies book is 🐂💩!
It's so obvious that Catherine loves all children, whatever race, colour or creed not that she would ever have criticised an unborn baby. Incidentally River, one of my favourite drinks is gently heated milk with beet powder and rose water - yum!
