Steven Curtis, when I was convicted of two felonies in 2009, my world went dark. But, God interceded through a great number of people He placed into my life. I was quickly introduced to your ministry of music... because of God the Father, Christ the Son, the Holy Spirit, you, and more than a few handfuls of folk, I am a redeemed, Loved, and richly Blessed man. I have also been singing for over 45 years. Music has always helped me stumble through this life, But, singing songs about the love of God and His promises has truly sustained me!!!! Thank you SCC for staying true. I am a changed man due to the power of the Holy Spirit moving through you....
Your spiritual redemption had nothing to do with anyone other than God Jesus and Holy Spirit. A gentle reminder to understand and remember. Attributing salvation to a man is blasphemy.
@@alexandra-q7u1m Hence, that is why I stated that God "interceded" through Mr. Chapman, and other people whom He chose to work through, to lead me through this life.
@@alexandra-q7u1m You have to appreciate people who God used to save you. God uses vessel who are ready and Mr. Chapman was doing God's work and through that ministry, he was saved. Give credit where credit is due.
Thank you Stephen. I discovered your music in the early 90s when I became a born again. Very sweet you are singing to those who may not have found Jesus yet. God Bless. 💝
Dear SCC- your humility and genuine love for people is why God continues to bless your beautiful ministry. Was so moved by the way you spoke kindly and with encouragement and respect for these many men who have made decisions that lead to them serving time. Jesus is smiling dear brother…wait until Heaven when you will meet the many people that your message has touched and helped to change, including me. Thank you❤
Steven your life and ministry has changed my life since I was 19 years old. God has used you in my life and thousands of other people in such a mighty way because of your faithfulness and dedication to your craft. You still bless me every time I listen to you. I am blessed to have seen you twice here in South Africa. God bless you for all the amazing work you do. On another note. Not sure if you are going to read this but what pickup is in your Taylor. I presume you are not using the expression system which I get,and I see a preamp on the top. Fishman or LR Baggs or something else? The tone is amazing !
Mr. Steven, great video and music. I turn 39 this year. Your music was our high school praise and worship where I played drums for 5 years of praise band. Yours and Michael Smith’s songs taught me how to play drums and guitar. I enjoy keeping up with you here. Praise the Lord for sharing your story through music.
Steven Curtis I have been a huge fan for years, I've been to many of your comcerts, bought your CD'S because your music spoke to me. My husband and I ran a youth camp for 6 and a half years. We had the privilege of having one of the best female vocalist at that time to come a teach our teen girls for a week. One evening we had a chance to sit down and talk for awhile. I am a Christian, who wants real people in ministry, so I began to ask a few question about some of the artists I listened to. Of course you were one of them. I asked if you were the real deal, her answer was a profound "Yes". Made my day!!!! On Christmas 2023 my daughter bought my husband and I two tickets
Great concert Steven! I discovered your music in he 80s when I was in college. Enjoyed seeing you again in concert a few years ago when you did a concert in Highland CA. Your songs carry such a positive message.
Qué buen ministerio de llevar el mensaje de Dios a los privados de la libertad, bendiciones hermanos, un fuerte abrazo fraterno desde Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Went to church several years at gospel assembly on ohio street in paducah and have been to your dad's store he seems like a wonderful man. I see where you get your love for music 🎶 . I've always loved your ministry, God bless you, brother
"We will abandon it all, for the sake of the call..." . Dear SCC, this song has impacted much in my young Christian journey. After many tests in life, this song reminds me of the days when I was so fired up for Jesus. Thank you and God bless you.
Mr. Steven, what a blessing you are to those inmates, sharing your music and testimony with them! 🥰💖🎸What an honor to come and bless them as you were blessed in return! 😊💓 God bless you and your family! ❤️ So very much enjoyed this video! 🥰
Mr Chapman I will never attend another concert or buy your music. My daughter bought my husband and I tickets two your concert in Knoxville, TN at the Bijou. Imagine my surprise when I walked in and observed people standing at the bar ordering drinks, I couldn't believe my eyes. I have attened many of your concerts, and never witnessed this type of venue. I had asked the question to one of the best female contemporary artist at the time. She came to the Christian camp in our association for young people to speak to our teen girls for week. We finally had a few minutes to share and I had questions about various artists and of course your name was the first one. I wanted to know if you were the real deal. Her answer was an emphatic " Yes"! After witnessing what I did I now wonder. If you knew that the theatre was going to be serving alcohol and you signed a contract knowing this you were wrong in every sense of the way. I asked to speak with the person in charge expressing my views, he told me you had played there before, so I feel you knew. What I don't understand is how you could possibly stand before a crowd singing about my God with drinks in their hands. Mr. Curtis I left the theatre my convictions couldn't allow me to stay. There was a song once by Aaron Tippin the said" You have to stand for something or you'll fall for anything!" I witnessed that for sure, you are to set a higher standard than others because you singing about my Jesus. Is he really yours, did you have a drink that night as well. I am just a coutry girl who was raised on prinicple and what is right by God's standards. I know what his word says and I hope and pray you do too, and you fall under such conviction that it troubles you deeply. Praying for a change!
There is nothing in the Bible that says Christians can't have a drink. Jesus himself and his disciples drank wine... his first miracle was turning water into wine for a wedding feast! The warnings are against drunkenness (Eph 5:18) and drinking too much to cause you to not be in control.
you mean people in the bar don't deserve to hear music about God? They don't deserve to know God? They may never step into a church in their lifetime. Where do you think its "appropriate enough" for them to hear about God?
I'm sorry I don't agree. This is not wine we are talking about. Hard liquor and beer. I don't recall that as okay. Fermented grapes were all they had in that time. The Bible also says that, do not be drunk on wine, and no drunkard shall enter the kingdom of God! I will not apologize for my beliefs. I really thought that SCC was the real deal..breaks my ❤️. Does he have a couple glasses before he performs?

It's spectacular. Bless you so much for what you do.
My dream as a worship leader is to someday be able to sing the gospel to prisoners. Thank you for the inspiration, Steven!
@mv_lioness Quite easy: ask your local prison facility what you can do. Bring your band and simply serve. Worth it!

thanks to Chapman for ministering to the inmates.
Just incredible. Another chapter in the book Steven’s ministry. Don’t stop, Steven. I’ve been listening since ‘93 and sang with you at Carnegie Hall.
I have been listening to him since 1994 and I sang with him at Kennedy Center in 2015.
