i don't get it why not use ceramic on the bezel???with time the black paint comes off if you wear it a lot or you hit something by mistake.why not keep the quality of swiss made?
100% agree with that. My $50 Casio Duro has an aluminium bezel insert. If I’m paying $700 I want better than that.
Ceramic is all well and good, until you drop the watch and it cracks. Give me aluminium every time.
It’s a cost issue. The 1000 Chrono is the cheapest Seastar and, being totally brutal, ceramic bezels cost a proverbial s**t tonne for the manufacturer, they had to reduce costs somewhere. I don’t mind the bezel on my Seastar Chrono, it does the job and if I ding it badly, Tissot charges £80 to replace it. The ceramic bezel on my 1000 Powermatic costs double to replace.
It’s a wear it and not worry about it watch. It doesn’t need babying. Just wear it and let it get a few nicks and dings, it’s fine.

Aluminium bezel insert 👎🏼
Aw, shame about the aluminium bezel. That's a real disappointment, I was looking forward to buying this piece. It's my favourite from Tissot. I was also looking at the PRX automatic, so I'll just go with that. Such a shame.
I’d much rather run the risk of scratching an aluminium bezel than dropping a watch with a ceramic bezel and cracking it.
Ceramic is vastly superior. There's no debate.
@@davidgilmour7440 ceramic is vastly superior until it breaks upon a bad impact, fact. As a result, I prefer not to have a ceramic bezel. There’s no debate.
@@NH-bz9jv I'm much more prone to brushing my watch against things than to dropping them violently enough to break ceramic so to each our own. And of course, with no debate.
