    Stoic dude was awesome. From reading a Japanese newspaper the cost of living is very hard. My wife is Japanese and she and her family are wonderful. I wish the people of Japan prosperity and peace.

    I get it. Japan is a rich country but Japanese people may not feel it that way. I've watched it because I'm learning Japanese but asking high school students to get a proper real picture of the Japanese economy and the effects of weak yen on daily life just does not make sense.🤣

    I get paid around 25,0000 JPY/month, with additional housing, medical, and retirement benefits. But I still quit my job in Shanghai, and moved to Osaka looking for better life quality (I think sometimes, life quality is more than just money), so far I really enjoy living in Japan!

    60,000 yen? Geez, I'm working as cleaner in Japan and I earn as much as 160k (I take home at least 80-100k after deductions)

      In Australia we earn more than that in a day. So long as you are not an employee. Going rate here is about $1000 AUD per day and rising due to inflation. Houses prices however are ridiculous.

      The Yen has dropped 55% vs USD this year. It was down by 30% just last year. Some ASEAN currencies have also gained vs. the Yen.The record number of tourists visiting Japan at the moment is due to this. Hence, the situation is not the same amongst other countries.

    The fact they jokingly say 1,000,000 yen a month like it's a ridiculous amount - this is £59K / $75,000. A lot less than many Americans make.

    Many people would say US is better but in Reality alot of us want out of the ussr right now, trying to get a remote job to then move to south east Asia, unless your extremely rich US is your home.

      @@sleefy2343 eh can't even tell a joke..no I meant I want to leave due to lack of jobs ( I can see people will say what are you saying there billions of jobs) yea been struggling for years to get a entry level job. another is rise in housing now I under stand there people who are extremely lucky but not everyone is lucky to buy a good home, the last thing is lifestyle am not into the MTV life or society now sure I can ignore it but that just means your isolated in your own town which I have been doing.

    Most people just cannot use their money. My usage of money changed about from 1000 to 1200 € a Month, from student to job. And with my job my income nearly got 4 times more.

    Architect for 300,000 yen per month in the USA well you can certainly get work, it might not be architecture. However you will get the chance to design your cardboard and trash bag shack in the woods or sidewalk at that price, if you want to eat.

    Well, The first guy is very humble and even Answered like a saint. High school girls are so sweet and have a big dream . Go abroad and be a honest and faithful Site supervisor. You will be rewarded in big by construction co. Be Strong and be aware of bad guys. Site supervisor is difficult job to do, so dishonest And irresponsible in my country, South Korea. I will hope and pray she could be Worthy of 1900,000 yen per month paid worker. Japanese sweet hearts, Love your country and be a decent patriot and you will be blessed by people around you.

    "we feel blessed for what we have" is the right attitude. However, there should be programs in generating interest in politics and economy so normal people understand what is happening. The cause and effect of policies, etc. The first dude's response was ahh, it cant be helped is infuriating.

    Heiwa Boke is strong in these NPCs. They don't realize they're living in a house that is slowly burning because they don't seem to care to watch what is happening to their economy. Gaman and Shouganai attitudes are what's fueling this economy of NPCs that don't care about politics, but eventually the Gaman will burst and a sinking Japan will no longer be Shouganai.

    How do some of them survive off so little? Maybe japan is not as expensive as I thought. 60,000 yen is like 375usd. In Thailand for the next couple months but maybe japan in the future

      No it’s expensive comparing to SE Asia. Weak yen now is helping tourists offset some of this but expect more two tier pricing for tourists and locals as is happening in many tourist hot spots already.

      Japan is suffering from overtourism like many places and I can’t blame them for wanting to introduce some ‘tourist tax’ not that it will change much. Tourists need to stop going to the same places as everyone else. There’s more to Japan than Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka

    What welfare 60k yen a month? Is he doing a part time job cuz 60k a month is way below of Japan's minimum wage. That 60 k is just for rent and service bills

      He may be provided With housing and additional benefits. He mentioned Basic salary , it is interestingly low but he can handle his life still 5 times more than North Korean laborers.

    The girls on left looks more like Korean. Genetically, Korean and Japanese have the smallest genetic distance than other ethnic groups in East Asia. Genetic distance between Koreans and Japanese is only 0.007, it's the smallest genetic distant than any other two distinct ethnic groups in East Asia. But there is a distinct difference in looks, although some differences.

    It’s important to see the Whole picture + Big picture too, but I love that these young ladies are somewhat informed and ambitious. It is beautiful. I hope they protect their dreams and keep believing in themselves. Adults need to provide them a place (the world/societies) where they can gain experiences (knowledge/intelligence) without it becoming their death sentence.🌱🍀🦚🗝✨
