Glad y'all designed this idiot-proof because I was trying to tear mine apart until I realized the bag opened at the top of the fold and not at the joint.

Thank you for this reply. I almost did the exact same thing. I was literally thinking if I just pull a little harder i think it will open. Then i saw your comment and then i finally saw where it opens from. Not gonna lie. It was kinda difficult to figure out. I've never owned any kind of hydration pack before.

I'm finding it impossible to turn mine inside out. I've tried and tried to slide the blue bit in the middle but I'm not getting anywhere. Would really like to be able to invert it and give it a proper clean! Any advice?

look at 0:20 in this video, did you try to unlock the blue bit by sliding it? if you can not detach it, the bag will not reverse, and it is probably defective. Good luck!

What if you don’t have a easy disconnect at the tube end? Mines does not look like the ones shown.

HOW DO YOU OPEN IT??? Mine is like glued shut out of the package. And I don’t wanna break it. In he vid they are puffed up with air. Anyone know an unboxing vid?

Hi there! Great question - sometimes the reservoir seal can be sealed extra tight the first time you open it so it takes a little bit of extra force to break the initial seal! We recommend sliding the slider off the top of the reservoir and flipping open the top flap open so that the slider track faces on one side, then grab the handles on each side of the reservoir to pull apart - it might require a strong yank but you won't break it, we promise!

Hello, we just added an article to our FAQ on our website that demonstrates how to open a brand new reservoir. You can view the page here: support.hydrapak.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041792353

@@hydrapaktv you really need to put this prominently on your website or in instructions. I spent 2 hours thinking i had a manufacturing problem and might damage the pak. It's never a good thing to make customers feel stupid !

Why make a blue thing in the middle to flip it?! And is there a video to show how it's done, instead of this crash course blink and you'll miss it?

how to remowe the tube on no plug and play system

My baffle did not have the zip closure, it was just glued to either side of the reservoir. Had to cut it to be able to fully flip the reservoir inside out.

  • @JustAnotherFamily

Video is deceiving... because the inner zips are already separated... and video does not show how to put the inner zips together... been fighting with my inner zips long enough to try to find a video online that explains it... please post a video showing how to get the inner zips re-zipped... otherwise they just flap around inside the bag... ugh... frustrating... frustration...

I also have a hard time to reattach the inner zips, and can not find a video of it.

Idk how to seal that baffled so easily. hah

    • @scottag0

Use propylene glycol (food grade) on the baffle. I had immense issues trying to reattach, but the glycol helped lubricate the connection. Seems fine now.

Why would you want to? Or a better question...what is the purpose of the baffle? I see none.

What is the purpose of the baffle? I see none. So just a marketing gimmick?

Hi Terry, the Shape-Shift baffle is an adjustable baffle system that brings the sides of the reservoir closer together, offering increased stabilization during high-impact activities and reduces the sloshing often experienced when using a reservoir. The center baffle functions like a ziplock bag, sliding together to lock for a low-profile and reduced volume - pull or slide apart to unlock for the volume, increasing the reservoirs capacity by 0.5 L / 500 ml. As both a mountain biker and a backpacker, I appreciate this versatility - keeping the baffle locked when I am biking and unlocked when I am hiking and need more water. - Sarah at HydraPak

It is basically a gimmick, but if you have a backpack with a slot for a drinking bladder they are usually positioned right at your back. The baffle helps it line up with my spine and makes it more comfortable for me than most other bladders, not to mention helps it fit in the pack easier.. Idk if this was the intended effect, but that's how I use it.

This video was too much filler, could have spent more time exposing the last 7 seconds, smh
