This literally brought me to tears after seeing this whole video. I'm VERY proud of Ian. I know that he was scared of going back into the ocean to surf, but then Ricochet came into his life and brought back his courage to surf with her.
Both of them are so sweet! Animals help so much! A horse encouraged me to get rid of my cane and walk independently by walking her without my cane and hanging onto her. Now I walk all by myself and it’s quite exciting. Hopefully Ian will get there one day! Dogs are truly amazing.

But a great ending & a BIG high five to all family, friends & caregivers who stepped in to help Ian with Richochet and his recovery. Animals & humans together make great connections! Its so heart warming to see dogs reunite! I see a lot of comments saying " oh, he doesn't look happy at all" he has been through a lot and sometimes even i look not so happy in an exiting moment, i mean thats just how some ppl work.
I just stumbled across this piece, and there was the La Paloma Theater in Encinitas CA, walking distance from where I grew up. I started surfing 6/30/1963 at Moonlight Beach, several blocks away. Good story.
She brought this dog from all the way where she lives to help out a boy that was in an accident that used to Surf with his dad this is just the sweetest thing ever
