I must tell you that your technique and end results for creating a galvanized finish are the very best on TH-cam. I have save it several places on my computer and have shared it with several friends who are now new subscribers as well. Thank you for teaching us this beautiful faux paint finish. Barbara in Dallas
I made these for my daughter’s 18th birthday party this past Sunday. We sprayed them rose gold and then used a rose gold spay to make the look like stone. Oh my gosh they were fabulous!!! I wish I could share pictures of them here for you.
OMG yes please!!! Ive got all of my social media links in my bio and also the description box here. Or email me!! Id love to see them. This makes me so so happy!!
I like your choices of paint. Really good use for burner covers! Thank you so much for sharing your ideas.” Cheat day” is fun. Will look for your tutorials.
You’ve got such sweet voice and accent. I’m from Georgia and You don’t sound like You’re from Georgia. I did a tiered plate for my daughter and it fell apart on the way home. Love the cake plate.
I am amazed at how much that last plate looked like galvanized metal. You did a fantastic job! And thank you for sharing your oopsies. Everything turned out so amazing!
These are all really cute. That is the best faux galvanized I have seen. But the wood look is my favorite. I have been collecting cake plates and sandwiche plates for 20 years and have alot! Quite a few are old. I don't need anymore but of course I'm totally going to make some. What I reall need is some more shelves in the garage. 🏜
For the “CHEAT DAY” cake stand I would just get a few more burner covers and make them up for each season then stack them and switch the stacks around for a more sturdy stand and also then you wouldn’t have to remove the vinyl and redo them every season.... and they are absolutely beautiful by the way!!!💕
Very nice thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed your DIYs. Learning your painting techniques was really great. I will be looking forward to your next video until then please take care and God bless!
You are such a beautiful lady. I really enjoy all your videos. Been working on me a camper & truck past few weeks & so excited about the way it’s turning out.
Absolutely gorgeous! I gave had a few chuckles watching this tho. I was hollering at you to not bake it because of the glue!!! But you didn't listen...Haha! At the last when you were touching up your rusty look around the edges I said to you that I have been told many times, "you just can't leave it alone can ya!" lol....love watching you doing crafts & I love crafting so much too even tho I am getting older & really don't have room for it. Have been using my lap for a table...lol. okay enough said. Later...
OH Gosh!!! Fantastic idea. . Another thing to add to my list I keep all my favorite you tubers in the list category on my phone. I just found you 3 days ago. So your in my list.
All three look great. I admit I have not been bitten by the Ray Gunn bug but your RG cake plate turned out lovely. I really like the galvanized plate and the flux wooden one as well.
I just discovered your channel and I love these cake plates. I can't wait to make the first one for my granddaughter and paint it pink. She loves to have tea parties, but she lives out of town. This means the cute tea servers I've bought her are left at home.... I am going to Dollar Tree today!!
FANTASTIC save on galvanized tray!!!😁😁 Beautiful, I like all three, but my favorite is the galvanized one!!💕 You make it seem so possible for me to make one, thank you girl!! 😊
You are so freaking cute. I collect cake plates and yours came out so beautifully. I cannot believe how much that one looks like galvanized steel. You also gave me a great idea with the clear glass plate and wine mug base..I can use my stained glass paints on the bottom of the plate and hot glue silk flowers in the base before E6000 ing it together..Cant wait to see your other videos. Great job.
I absolutely loved this video!!❤ I’m so happy I came across it, our daughter is getting married here on our ranch in September and the cake tray that you baked will be PERFECT!❣️ We will have cheesecloth down before placing the cake on it. Thank you ❤
Love these... what about putting twine around the "cauldron feet" so that the handles don't show? I think it would accent the wood look wonderfully. Love your ideas!
You could paint the bottom of the plate as well, I made my mother plates of pink and gold trim for Valentine’s Day! I f I do the glass plate I would put flowers in the bottom cup, like cherry blossom!
So very nice!! I was crafting cake stands for snacks and not cakes and on one of the painted plates, a notice warning against using for food! Paint was not food grade!
Carey I agree I love the glass one that looks like galvanized metal! Absolutely awesome!!! I do like the idea that you can remove the decals. I had not heard of that before. You are so talented.
I love the idea of the cakes town I have found that when using that brand of paint it is best to buy that clearcoat spray which will seal in the paint and prevent chipping this is perfect for displaying simple things like candles on around your house or a great centerpiece for the table
You're amazing!! You show us how to make them, then you show them off being used; with all the lovely desserts. So....pretty!! The galvanized metal one was so impressive looking!! 💜💜
Before u said it the galvanized one is my favorite too. I do like all 3 n what a really cute idea but galvanized one is perfect... looks so real. Thanks so much for this great idea of DIY’s projects. By the way this is my first time watching u n enjoyed every minute of the video. ♥️😊
These are OMG Gorgeous!!!!, even with the glue running down on the galvanized one. I love them ALL. AND, I see your camera angles are getting better!!!! I love you so much!!!!💖💖💖💖
Hi Carey, I just LOVE all your projects! If you turned your wine cup over you could also turn your plate to the bottom and use it sometimes for dip and veggies!! hugs
The cake stand you made out of the burner cover with the wine And glass on it, you could stop right there and only paint the base, and it would make a lovely stand for cheese and fruit during a cocktail party.
I know it would look different but I think I would do the galvanized technique on the underside of the plate so I could put a cake right on the cake plate. I just found your site this morning. I subscribed and look forward 2 your do-it-yourself projects! Thank you !
Awesome great DIY,so realistic the galvanized, if you don’t tell no one will know how it was done. The three are fabulous thanks for sharing blessings
Great idea! One can never have too many cake plates/risers! The galvanized looking one is simply amazing!!!!
Thank you!! :) I love using cake plates for things other than cakes!
I love the white one the most then the galvanized one.
I must tell you that your technique and end results for creating a galvanized finish are the very best on TH-cam. I have save it several places on my computer and have shared it with several friends who are now new subscribers as well. Thank you for teaching us this beautiful faux paint finish. Barbara in Dallas

@@MamaDaresToDIY I think you're doing GREAT!!!!
I like the third one best. If you soak your glass is rubbing alcohol for a little while those sticky labels will come right off.
I have to admit that I did not see your vision for the galvanized metal plate, but it turned out beautiful!
Hi Carey, I just LOVE all your projects! If you turned your wine cup over you could also turn your plate to the bottom and use it sometimes for dip and veggies!! hugs
Thanks for showing all video, including mishaps. Love all of them!
Those turned out great!! TFS!!
Thank you!! :)
The cake stand you made out of the burner cover with the wine And glass on it, you could stop right there and only paint the base, and it would make a lovely stand for cheese and fruit during a cocktail party.
These are so great! I can’t believe how the third one looks just like galvanized metal! You’re so talented!
The intros are so long and boring I can't stay to watch the tutorial!
I love the gray one
I know it would look different but I think I would do the galvanized technique on the underside of the plate so I could put a cake right on the cake plate.
I just found your site this morning. I subscribed and look forward 2 your do-it-yourself projects! Thank you !
On the all glass you can add colored glass or flowers to the bottom before gluing for an extra effect.
This project turned out so cute you are so creative thank you so much for sharing it with us
Thank you!! :) And youre very welcome
So glad I found your channel! I love you!!!
These are awesome! That rust/weld look was genius :) Thank you for sharing your talent. Blessings!
