    Great tip on adding a bit of the color on top of the jar! I need to do this for all my pigments!!

    • @ClaraLawrence

      You are very welcome. The color on top has helped me out so much. Easiest way is just add a dab the next time you mix that color. That way you don't waste your valuable resin.

    Super fun!! I luv the bright colors. Those cells that spider web 🕸 off into like a sunburst affect. It totally reminds me of those close ups of cells or space satellite imagines zoomed in and it’s gorgeous and fractal type of colors. So cool!! 😃🙌🏻🙌🏻💜

      Thanks. Scarlett, I know you too have a love of resin and the surprises it likes to give. I agree completely. Does look like cells of something biological.

    I found this while researching glow in the dark pigments, look up "lit" from culture hustle it's amazing & even glows in daylight for around 12 hours. Would be an amazing addition to this. Love it.

    Do you have a video on any special hints on how you mix up your sc resin?

    • @ClaraLawrence
      @ClaraLawrence  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I mix for between 2-3 minutes. I always start the stopwatch when I'm ready to start mixing. With SCC resin, I'm super careful about scraping sides, bottoms and corners of the bottom several times while mixing. Scrape off the mixing stick and then mix that in a few more times too. Since doing that I've had no trouble.

    • @heathergreene-smith7094
      @heathergreene-smith7094 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ClaraLawrence ok. I do that with all my resin so I should be good. I just received my sc resin but I'm in the middle of a pattern so I cant play with it yet. 😜

    What is your cure time between the base clear and the colors? Is the video real time? Looks like it is.

    • @ClaraLawrence
      @ClaraLawrence  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This video was real time. It is just a super thin coat of resin to help the colors glide on the surface.

  • @dannysobek

    Awesome video! If i paint the panel black, but substitute the black epoxy for grey, will it still give me similar results?

    • @ClaraLawrence
      @ClaraLawrence  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. Not exactly sure what you are asking. You could paint the board (or canvas) black and also use black epoxy or not paint the background and use black epoxy. The key is the stone coat base tint that brings in the cells.

    could this work with neon paint aswell or is the pigment powder best to use? looks so good and very helpfull ! :)

    • @ClaraLawrence
      @ClaraLawrence  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It could work with neon paint, but since that paint wasn't designed for resin you won't get the intensity under the black light. It will be diluted considerably. There are pigment powders and pastes in fluorescents.

  • @joeydgraffix
    @joeydgraffix 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    With the colors you pour onto the resin are those mixed with resin too or are they just plain acrylic paints?

    • @ClaraLawrence
      @ClaraLawrence  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Each of these colors are mixed up in individual cups with resin. They are special pigments that work with resin. I find that acrylics can be tricky and can disrupt the chemistry balance with resin very easily. These are LeRez pigment powders.

    • @joeydgraffix
      @joeydgraffix 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ClaraLawrence Thanks so much! I've been using acrylic/resin mix for some test's with all disappointed results. Can't wait to get some powders and try again.

    What do you use to color resin ? Thanks :))

    • @ClaraLawrence
      @ClaraLawrence  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      At the end of my videos (I try) to put a photo of all the colors I used and this one I did. They are colors by Le'Rez and Stone Coat pigments.
