Yummy garlic! I harvested mine last Tuesday. We had also been having quite a bit of rain,Tuesday was sunny and dry so I got it out. I got about 48 head of garlic. I also grew the music variety and actually bought the seed from a local garlic farm. I can get you the info if you are needing seed for the fall. I think I paid about $10/lb. it lasted well too as I saved some to use and still have a couple of heads left.

So apparently you don’t wash the excess soil from the garlic before drying it, correct?

No I leave the dirt to dry on the garlic and never had an issue. Most dries and falls off
