I really appreciate you taking the time to share this project with us. I really like the wall organizer also. I only have a couple of dies so this may be something to start while I have only a few.

Thanks for sharing Diane. I have a similar storage system using the Avery Elle storage pockets. The tip I'm going to implement is printing the photo of the die sets!! Thanks!!!

I started watching TH-cam 4 years ago when I decided to take over a guest bedroom so I could craft in there. I got sooo many ideas!! But after checking prices of cabinets, IKEA items, labor to install, etc, I decided I make it a DIY room. Most of my craft room is repurposed furniture that I painted white. I have two 3 shelved old fashioned wall spice racks found at yard sales for $3 each. I LOVE them for storing my ink refill bottles!! Would also be great for stickers and nuvo drops so if I’m lucky to find another rack, I’m getting that too. Currently I store my dues on magnet sheets I buy in roll at Michael’s and cut myself to fit into Sizzix envelopes but they don’t stay closed that well so if lots of little dies or I have matching stamps, I store those on magnet sheets in Stampin Up plastic containers made for storing their stamps. These r stored in repurposed DVD/CD cabinets right next to my Big Kick table. Both of those units my sis found on Craig’s List for free. I just had to sand & paint. None of my furniture pieces match but are all same white paint and decorative trim and wooden knobs I paint rainbow colors. I like spending my money on new things for my craft rather than a “professional” room. This past fall I decided to invest in Stampendous Stuftainers (Blitsy.com) to store 15 years worth of wood mounted stamps ( other sizes available too). I’m still working on that system. Craft organization seems to be a never ending elvolving process. Think that’s half the fun. Happy crafting one & all!!

Great system! I currently use CD cases and pockets like these. I also put a strip of washi tape on the top to color code what's in it.

I have only a tiny percentage of the craft supplies you have. I decided not to spend any money on my storage solutions. I’m using what I have. I have received laminating pockets for pictures through the years which I don’t need for photos. I am using them to make storage pockets for my dies. There are several videos on how to do this in TH-cam! I am so happy I kept those!

To keep the cost down on the magnet sheets you can trim them into strips and paste them on a piece of card stock. I saw this idea in another video and it works great for me. About 3-4 strips per pocket depending on the dies. I use the same pockets and just use 5x7 card stock.

I know this is now 2years old BUT it made me giggle that you use the phrase "that's my jam!" I use it all the time along with "right on" :)
    Also diggin your method.

I also use this storage idea for all my dies. I used the art bins before and found they were always flopping over making a hot mess. If you need more magnets try using vent covers from Home Depot. They are $5.00 a pack of 3. I cut them down to fit the pockets and can get 3 per sheet to fit so 9 total per pack. It's amazing how much space this system saves when you do this and how easy it is to flip thru and find what your looking for. TFS

Always love to see what everyone does to store their dies. The majority of my dies also go on magnet sheets but I put them in a plastic sleeve in 3-ring binders that have zippers on them. It would be nice to put them in bins but I just don't have to room to store the bins and the binders fit nicely on a shelf.

really great storage for the stamps and dies. I have got to figure somethign better for my storage. I do not have anything near what you have, but they get all mixed up just tossing them in a bin. TFS.

I am in the midst of converting my dies and stamps to sleeve storage. I think we all like the 'uniform look' . But I have decided to downsize ahead of when I eventually retire to a smaller living arrangement where I won't have a whole room to hold craft supplies. And this type of system is great to allow you to have a lot of dies and stamps without needing a lot of space! Currently our Dollarama is carrying a great pocket [4 for $1] - sturdy, clear and in 6 sizes. I don't know which stores have it as not all do. But they are the same quality as my new Sugarpea Designs pockets which I recommend as well. I wish I could see the Avery Elle ones up closer. It's hard to imagine why some company hasn't designed an entire storage system from pockets to containers to shelving. Like my daughter said " Don't underestimate the power of women {and fellas} crafting!"

Loved it. If you get stuck for other sizes, Ellen Hutson has 4 different sizes in their own brand which is slightly thicker than Avery Elle, but they carry AE too. I so admire people that can destash, after more than 20+ years of stamping I have well over 10,000 stamps and couldn't part with any. (okay peanut gallery before you hit the floor, remember how many stamps are in each alphabet, number set, etc) So liked seeing your ideas, I have a historic house so a "designer stamp room" isn't possible for me either. Huge thanks! Hugs- April

I am the same as you, but I have also found that many companies retire sets only to recreate something similar down the road. This makes it hard for me to purge. But I totally admire those who do. Lately, in an effort to downsize, I have been destashing dies/stamps to family/friend crafters- but trust that I could/should get rid of a whole lot more!!

Very helpful. Glad to hear what you had to say as I, being a Virgo, am getting frustrated trying to put a little order into my materials. I’ve been looking at Avery Elle system so I am extra happy to hear how you made it work. Guess I’ll be heading to Amazon now. Thank you so much for sharing. It’s helped me, for one, a lot.

Rosa Lee Howington - Hi! My experience with bins that look exactly like the bins she has pictured are by Sterlite. I buy them from Walmart, in store, so not sure if she's using Rubbermaid as a catch-all term or if Rubbermaid also makes some just like these. The side handles on the Sterlite's act as lid locks when attached and there is a carry handle atop, so really nice there!

Hello Diane , I changed my stamps and dies over a couple of months ago to the pockets and magnets . This is what I did for the magnets I took the ones from the art bins ran them threw my trimmer cut them in half and cut the tabs off the top . They cut like butter in the trimmer and you get two magnet sheets from each one and they are sturdy and fit right in the pockets . I hated the art bins they got to heavy and I could never find what I was looking for . I gave the art bins to my friend and her grandson is using them for his small toys ! Win! Win! Thanks for sharing your new system its what works for most of us here on YT !!! Hugs

They sell large magnetic sheets on Amazon, not bad pricing for what you get. And you can cut them down to fit what you need.
