Thanks jeanne for sharing more ideas and pattern book. All peices look nice though , to me the stuffed ornament with blue on white seems pretty cool!👌❤️🙋♀️ Keep it up👍happy crafts!
That is really amazing! You just put into words almost the exact reason I tend to avoid making things with corners, they don't seem as "natural" as things with curves, circles, ovals.... and I hadn't even realized that was the reason! I just did a Google search for "squares and rectangles in nature".....the only odd shape listed is the hexagon, example- honeycombs.....this makes me happy because I DO like to make six-pointed tatted motifs....flowers and snowflakes. Thank you, again, for making ME think about something new! Have a lovely day! 😀
@@shuttletatting so glad to learn that from you ! .....honeycomb is something i think of tatting.....i have gathered 2 metal shuttles , that can stick together with magnet so as to use for making simple hexagonal rings using square rings technique.....hmmm...yet to apply...... Already designed and made a honeybee as a design class project of TOTC👍!!🙂🙋♀️
@@tasneemsadiqpetiwala5907 It has been quite a while since I played with square rings, using two shuttles. This is DEFINITELY not a beginner's technique, but very cool to do!! 🙂 I never thought about using that corner technique to make 6 corners instead of 4! Something new to try! Do you participate in TOTC often? I used to follow this when Georgia Sietz was still involved, not so much any more. So many ideas and things to try!
@@shuttletattingys i started to participate in TOTC a couple of years back only when Tamie Montgomery took over ...i enjoy all sort of activities in TOTC.....atleast as far as watching the videos n classes offline!!...i actually don't do lot of tatting ,just little motives and few laces that i do at tortoise speed!!:).....and try to do homework at my pace. I had learnt basics of shuttle tatting in school as teenager in 1988 ,then after a looong break, in covid 19 ,2020 i restarted👍🙋♀️😍 and You Tube has been my only source of learning since then😊 I went thru your introduction and few blogs, and it is really amazing that u and i guess all tatters share same learning experience, learning the flip is definitely like conquering the world 😀 ........but in this era of virtual technology, people might be quick at learning , once their mind is all set to learn🙇🏽♀️
@@tasneemsadiqpetiwala5907 I like that.....tortoise speed! That means you are enjoying every moment! 😀 Thinking about your comments....sometimes I wonder how we ever lived before TH-cam and instant answers from Google. But I know my life would not have been the same if I had not taught myself to tat. Conquering the world.....yes, looking back now, that's how it felt! 😊 I am so happy that you decided to take up tatting again....and that you watch TH-cam. 😀

That's my favorite one of those shown, too. Thank you! 🙂
