Yes Christianity has roots from Judaism (old testament). But fast forward to Islam and when you depict it it has roots all the way to Adam (pbuh) through all the Messengers and Prophets including Jesus (pbuh) to the final Messenger (pbuh). The religion of God has always been Islam. The religion was completed and perfected with the final revelation.

Monotheism has a duel meaning and doesn't just pertain to a 'Numerical' and/or a 'Quantitative Analysis',it pertains to the 'ONENESS OF SPIRIT' as well.Prophet Jesus(pbuh)made this clear multiple times- 'a House DIVIDED cannot stand', 'God is Spirit'.In secular Philosophy,there is the discussion of Particularism vs Universalism.Jesus(pbuh) is clearly the advocate for Universalism( ONENESS OF SPIRIT).Blessings
