It's BC this kind of quadratic function is in its vector form, where h and k determine where the vertex is and a changes the curve. We could use the standard form quadratic equation you mentioned, but it would be slightly harder to create a curve we want
Fun: Define each function as like: q(x,.. c(x,.. s(x,... So you can easily and quickly put some lines and you'll be done. And for more fun: Make a list of the parameters your q, c, s, etc have and then you can basically compress the graph
