I lost my dad yesterday. He taught my brother, sister, and myself how to love nature. He taught us that we were also part of nature and that we had to be the caretakers of it. He told us it was an obligation we had because we were on the top of the chart. I so wanted to show him your TH-cam channel but I couldn't get it in the hospital. He loved watching people studying & discovering new aspects to life here on the 3rd Rock. He loved watching the NOAA ship Okeanos and their mission to find new life.... Evidently, I've learned to love nature like he did. Thank you for your work.
Steven Horne: 💐 If you ever want to show a video outside of wifi range, ask a friend or relative or someone to play it on their digital device, or you play it on your computer screen AND use your smartphone camera video function to make 1 temporary copy. Then after you have shown it you can delete it. That serves the same function as using the 'Share' capacity to send it to someone. They still get the distribution credit. You would have thought of that except your grief was in control. Rest assured that your father was aware that there really are good conservationists in the world. He knew in general if not specifically. You might appreciate watching the TED Talk 'How to Green the World's Deserts' in his honor. It is 19 minutes. Africa asserts that it has found the solution to global warming. That video explains. Your father probably would have appreciated that one, also. You now represent his values in the world. May you live long and thrive and magnify his values in the world.💐
Son tan hermosas las foquitas y foquitos, solo desearia que les dijeran a los demás: !!!nos vienen a ayudar!!! !! Déjense atrapar por esos ágiles y cariñosos hombres!!!❤❤❤
I wish I could go here and maybe drive the truck. Just to watch and be apart of this. Makes my heart smile. I wish people would STOP putting crap in our oceans.
I have made sure that EVERYONE I KNOW who goes to the beach, fishes or owns a boat sees what it is you guys are doing. Many have said they had no idea that such a small piece of line could spell certain death for a seal. They have all promised to be more careful with all types of line, tape, plastics etc. around the water. Everyone can help to get the word out!
The worst part is that fishermen hate seals...or any sea life that the ppl think of as 'stealing' fish from them. In Oregon (USA) they passed a law to be able to shoot seals. These are people making money by emptying the oceans of food, even to the extent of breaking the link of the food chain in the ocean. I live in a town off the Strait of Juan de Fuca in the state of Washington. When I moved here in 2003 there was a resident harbor seal, and several cormorants. They have all disappeared. There is an orca pod that is indigenous to my area...the pod has been reduced to the point where they will not recover. When the last of them dies it will be the end of our pod. Recently I saw a video where Orca became aggressive toward a boat. Very unusual behavior and as they starve we will have more of it.
@@Horseluvver - OMG, that is terrible! That is like shooting the lady in front of you at the store to make sure there is enough food for you! Sadly, many of the animal disappearances are due to food chains being destroyed by Fukushima Radioactivity as well as human stupidity. @@rblibityes...Fukushima devastated the ocean life. You know what I noticed? Tuna travel very far and very fast so they get the highest levels of ocean contaminates and fukushima detritus. A few years after fukushima three new canned catfood manufacturers came out...all with tuna based canned food for cats. That's all they make. Not a natural food for cats (fish inhibits thiamin absorption in cats) and seems to me like tuna must've gotten cheaper so it's like they're disposing of toxic waste by putting in cat food...and making money doing it. Yeah I dont watch mainstream news anymore. It's an insult to intelligence. I love the ocean...the oil spill we had in the gulf stream (BP oil) made me look at things differently, you know?
What agility and strength of mind and body, determination and focused purpose. No words can really describe your effort for and kindness to these beautiful creatures. Thanks OCN team.
When Naude makes that "ooh" sound with the camera in his mouth...i always know its something bad for the seal. He always says that when he spots a particularly painful entanglement. Hes not an outright, heart on his sleeve sweetheart like Antoine but he cares about the sea life just as much. Love you guys. Especially the four of you. Naude, Tony, Denzil and Wally. ❤
@@OceanConservationNamibia I don't even understand HOW can see the thin line around them from a distance! Especially when it's a sea of seals. I only just started watching these vids the day before yesterday and I'm seriously committed! I love that you do this, but it's so sad that it seems like a full time gig. I wonder how often that this needs to be done. Every day? Once a week? It seems endless. The things you find.. shirts, bandages, packaging tape, soccer net - shocking and so sad. Now with covid the plastic waste is so excessive it breaks my heart. Thanks to these individuals for making a difference.
@@imamachineok They oftentimes do not see the lines, they see the fur being pressed down along a line. that and of course the countless times where seals have to carry entire nets with them that are big enough to spot even with the naked eye from a distance. oh and of course they use binoculars to look at the colonies to make out the individuals that need help
These poor seals may hopefully do pass the word around LOL that you gentlemen are there to help them get freed from entanglements , so they make it easier for you.
It's so cool they almost sound like baby sheep thank you for your service and for taking so much love for one of God's creation this world would be so much better of a place if we had more people willing to give rather than take
They are truely beautiful ❤️ poor pup , well all you are caught in humans garbage. Love when you tell them no no no, and the first one, his flipper you were holding, got a good look at how amazing they are. TY..
The first one turned out to be a complicated operation! It is so horrible that those thin lines can cut such deep wounds, like with the second and third pups. The seals don't seem as frightened and wary of humans in this area, perhaps because people are often strolling upon the boardwalk…? A GREAT day's work for you heroes!
Please people if you have a heart please don’t thumbs down these guys risk getting bitten from saving these seals and it’s hard work to save them. It won’t hurt you to subscribe and hit thumbs up. We love you guys for saving thousands of seals from dying. Thank you Ocean Conservation Namibia we love you from USA.......
Great video as always guys, love watching these videos knowing that you've helped some beautiful seals. Such a shame this keeps happening to them, i hope the more people see these they will start to think about what gets thrown in rivers and seas!
Thanks so much for all your hard work...it really pays off ! I never had any idea how often seals and other animals are wounded or die in fishing line or nets etc...it has been a real eye opener...hugs from Canada !
These videos should be required viewing for everyone who wants to get a fishing license.
What a mess we have made of this world, bless people who are trying to make a difference, God bless you for helping !
Oh my goodness! The family and friends stay observing from a distance, when she is released running to the beach, they run after her!!! Wow!!! ❤️
Thanks guys you're wonderful angels. Yahuah bless each of you.
The number 1 destination spot for seals.
Huge immaculate beaches. Top notch cuisine. And world renown emergency care.

Those thin lines are unforgiving, and unfortunately Seals 2 and 3 had to pay the price. Thanks for freeing them before the injuries got any worse.🦭✂️🌍
The first pup was so calm.
Number two was a fiesty little guy.
Thanks Naude and Denzil.
I am so glad they are wearing arm guards! That bite that Naude got looked painful!
It was!
Can watch these endlessly... great job guys
These poor, poor animals! The amount of marine litter they have to cope with, "for shame", indeed!! 😢
Great work, guys, as always! 👍👏
Poor puppies! Each of them needed help desperately. Thank you for giving them a chance, team!
Thank you guys
It's so horrid to see the deep cuts from this tiny shit line! I feel so terrible for them. Thank you for helping them.
Thank you 💕🙏🇺🇸

So glad the damage wasn't complete and you got to them in time. Great saves.
Спасибо ребята. 🤝
My favorite rescuer, less stress, calm and he does not put his gross glove in the open wound.
Each casual rescue makes such a difference for those poor seals, such good work and so heartening to see.
Come on people. Over 250 thousand views and only 15 thousand likes. Show these heros some love
