I'm glad you're enjoying them so much:) I try to post a top 10 list every weekend, and here lately I've really been focused on trying to sort out the eshop for that very reason. Nintendo has not made it easy for users to find good games, that's for sure
@@reagandow850 Thank you, i appreciate it :) The best thing to do is like, comment, and share. TH-cam specifically liked videos with a lot of engagement, so watch duration, and the more like and comments it has, the more likely TH-cam will recommend it to other people
I also found this game called The First Tree. It's a beautiful game where you play as a mother fox in a beautiful forest in search for her 3 cubs. Along the way you we find bits and pieces of a guy named Joseph. When you find these pieces bit by bit you will hear him talk about his stories. You as the fox have to jump on cliffs and search for all the hit points. This game is about how to deal with losing a loved one and it is all worked out in a beautiful atmosphere from the forest, soothing music. You don't have stress about time, hunting to restore your strength and dying. It's a short game, i managed to finish it in one hour but it is sure worth the try.
Please add the list of games in the description for these types of videos if possible! I come back to them for quick ideas and new games, but have to scroll through the video. Thanks for the content :)
That might be done on purpose. Closing the tab without watching the video adds no monetary value to the YT channel. People watching means higher views means more money.
You literally do the best job on these types of videos. Not only for the games themselves, but the presentation. Your choices are way more interesting than most, and it's delivered so well. Seriously good job.
Here's my list of Switch gems: Anodyne Gunvolt Chronicles Gunman Clive: HD Collection Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling Membrane Gris Fast RMX Yoku's Island Express Blossom Tales Ape Out West of Loathing Wild Guns: Reloaded Blasphemous Dead Cells Gorogoa Severed Guacamelee 2 Flipping Death Cave Story Wuppo Pikuniku Katana Zero My Friend Pedro Gato Roboto Downwell Splasher
Katana Zero is an amazing game. Easily on my top 10 2019 games, up there with games like Sekiro, Control, DmC5, Astral Chain, FE 3 houses, LM3, MM2, Gears 5, RE2, etc. Very nice list!
This video is great for the fact that quarentine is going on all around and the switch has so many games to choose from that it's overwhelming. Thanks for the video.
Wuppo looks interesting to me. Might have to give it a try. One game I'll add to the list is Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX. Hasn't had much coverage but has great action in it and is very well done!
pein260 yeah! I’d highly recommend it and I’d even say it feels like it had more work put into it than Pokémon sword and shield. (Though, both are still great)
I recommend Eastshade. It's my favourite cosy game and practically no one talks about it. You are a painter whose mother passed away recently. She always talked about a place called Eastshade and how she can see you painting there. You decide to go there and paint the landscape in her memory. The game is first person and it's gorgeous. There are plenty of side quests too but it's not a character driven or even story driven game at all. The point of the game ultimately is to explore and paint Eastshade. It's such a relaxing and genuinely charming game. A tip though. Nights are freezing in Eastshade so you'll want to be at the Inn before nightfall UNTIL you get inside the city. The first thing you should aim to buy is the coat because it stops this problem.
It truly is a shame that more people dont know about wuppo. I just found out recently myself that it was on the eshop. Game got no coverage at all it seems
Very nice list. I'm an avid watcher of Switch selection videos and this truly has a personal touch with a few hidden gems I was absolutely unaware of. Kudos!
AI: The Somnium Files is not a indie game, but nobody seems to know that this game exists and it's one of the best games on the Switch. It's a murder mystery game by the creators of Danganronpa and Zero Escape (999).
Just finished this game a few days ago, and I'd actually rate it a little bit higher than Zero Escape. While it's not nearly as ambitious in its sci-fi elements, the characterization is in a different league than that of those games, and the whole thing is infused with humour without detracting from the often dark subject matter. This game is flat-out amazing.
@@Bavalt I really need to start this game. I haven't had the energy to start it since I bought it. Sounds even more refreshing after reading your comment.
As a first time watcher, i really liked the vid dude. Well done. Just a note, maybe put the list at the end of your video or in the description as I am interested in some of the games but now I have to scroll through the vid to find them.
One game I think is not super underrated but most people don't remember when considering games is Overcooked 2! It is definitely a casual game, but it is soo much fun! Also, i recommend trying the demos for Cake bash and moving out! I am considering buying them, but playing the demo is very fun and gives you a good look at what they are like!
Wow!! Great video. I half expected to know all the games on this list, but I just added a bunch of games to my wish list that I had never heard of. Thank you so much! Also, could not agree more about Katana Zero. So friggin amazing :)
Actually imo you should check out fight n rage, that would be the best beat em up on the nintendo switch for its complex combat yet accesible gameplay! Nice video by the way, keep it up!
Penguin Wars is reaaaaaally underrated. Saw a (Canadian?) physical copy in Taiwan years ago, but it's launch around the world was a mess. Bought it on sale in the EU shop and it's a blast.
The game on this list that really caught my attention was "River City Girls"..it reminds me of the Double Dragon games I played as a kid,I loved those games..I'm going to be the proud owner of my very own Switch soon, and am looking for games to play on it..glad I came across this video 😁
The first game I was going to suggest is Splasher but, I was so happy to see it included at the end. Absolutely amazing game! The Messenger is my second suggestion. Love that game...
One RPG and I guess it'd qualify as a beat-em-up that I have on the switch and actually enjoy is Dead or School. Combat actually feels very fluid and there is a great deal of challenge in both boss encounters and the occasional rare encounter. I'd say a couple of my nitpicks with the game are 1: XP Grinding takes FOREVER even by RPG standards I feel that XP is really only give out in large amounts in boss encounters and grinding on trash mobs takes too long 2: Loot dropped from enemies actually slides so if you kill an enemy and it's either on a slope or over a bottomless pit you actually can lose the drop
I'd recommend Rabi Ribi. A cutesy bullet hell metroidvania that really shines with boss encounters that demand expert use of movement abilities to avoids enemy attacks and position yourself for counterattack. It even makes use of a dmc type performance meter that rewards the player with a damage boost that scales with the letter grade.
A game I haven't seen anyone really talking about is Yuppie Psycho. It's a wonderful pixel horror game. The music in it is also extremely good, in my opinion.
Ron Gilbert is the mastermind behind Thimbleweed Park. He also created Maniac Mansion and Monkey Island, along with several other classic Lucas Arts point-and-click adventure games. It’s an awesome game!
This is a good list. I've only heard of half of them and only played one. I'd like to add Knights and Bikes now that it has a Switch port. Those who liked Flipping Death or Blossom Tales should probably enjoy it.
Another hidden gem I recently found was Warlocks 2: God slayers. it is a metrovania style game where you ca choose between 5 different warlocks each with unique abilities. it's currently on sale in the nintendo eshop.
The Switch port of To the Moon is a bit better than the much more known PC version, being remade in a new engine with redone art and more content. The only drawback being that the free Sigmund Corp. Minisode DLC is only for the PC version so far.
Just found a game called Aggelos yesterday by TH-cam recommending me gameplay of it. Solid 2-d sidescrolling adventure game if you like Wonder Boy series or Zelda 2
I think I definitely want to check out Blossom Tales and Katana Zero, neither of which I'd heard of until this video! I've also been interested in Thimbleweed Park for a while now, so that's on my list also. Thanks a lot for the video!
I was looking for more games to download ( got a switch 2 weeks ago n only have Animal crossing and smash ) I can think of maybe 5 more games that I would want but all 5 would cost $60 each. This really helped and I appreciate it
Verp 17 I came here to say this! Forgotton Anne was the first game I played on switch and I ADORED the orchestra soundtrack and hand animation alongside the play forming, world building, and choose your own adventure vibes!
I'm surprised you didn't mention Downwell, Membrane and Astro Duel. Downwell has you jumping down a well (duh) with "gun boots" to rain fire on enemies and such to make your way to the bottom. Membrane is a great puzzle game with a unique shooting to build bridges and such mechanic. and Astro Duel is like if Astroids had a deathmatch mode vs 4 players. Great party game. I believe I had bought AD and Membrane for under 10 cent.
WILL: A Wonderful World is definitely a fun one. It's a puzzle game based on words, where changing the positions of sentences or even a single word can change an entire timeline! You should check it out ^_^
