Civil Engineering has many fields. Right from planning, design, execution to allied manufacturing products. Skill development would ideally depend on your interests. The options are limitless.

In the first line itself you say the Connect edition is "MIles ahead" and "makes our lives so very convenient".. Then its a bit of a spoiler that you rate Connect edition higher than v8i in the video that follows. Many oldtime users and professionals are complaiing "stadd pro v81 was way better" and to quote them "this new one sucks". What is your impartial assessment?

Sorry about the spoiler 😉. As far as my impartial assessment goes, you have it on the video. I think the newer version comes with very useful and powerful updates. As of the old time users and professionals complaining I would argue that accepting any new system takes time. Just the mere statement that the "new one sucks!" is not argumentative enough unless presented with concrete facts. If its bugs that one is concerned about I would argue that future iterations are resolving issues on a daily basis. If its just the feel of the software I would request them to give the newer environment some time and you are most likely to find it more than suitable for one's needs.
