@@-bruhfunny- I agree that people have been defending plenty of undeniable flaws recently. However, I don't think that's what's happening in this case. Playing slightly off tune is actually a really common tactic used by musicians to give a track a distinct feeling. Lots of tracks do this, and it sounds clearly intentional to me in this track. I don't believe it's an objective flaw painted as a good thing this time, unlike, say, the literal broken lighting effects in Colors Ultimate being "just because Sonic is in space" or the cyberspace levels in Frontiers being unpolished level imports from previous games just because "Sonic's memories are scrambled".
Why do separate songs use the same hats & bass??? Songs I've heard them so far is Sweet Mountain Act 1 & 2, Planet Wisp Act 1, & Asteroid Coaster Act 1.

I like that the bass is slightly out of tune with the rest of the song, along with the main melody
