I feel this song is pretty overlooked by Gundam's fanbase despite being, between all the almost endless song catalog of the franchise, one of the themes that are more beautiful and capture the best the essence of Gundam's UC... Such a shame.
i'm a true UC fan to the end. grew up on UC and Wing despite being Gen Z and i LOVE this song. the first time i ever heard this i was cooking and i fell in love with it
The original Gundam show really didn't portray Zeon as _villains_ so much as opponents in an apocalyptic war. They were bad guys, but they weren't out-and-out evil. Most of the really horrible stuff was rather skimmed over. With Origin, they're on par with the Galactic Empire in Star Wars. Sure, there may be some sympathetic characters among them, but those sympathetic characters are still supporting a genocidally evil cause. It really makes factions like the Titans in Zeta Gundam seem much more realistic and sympathetic.

What's worse is those children become adults and face similar problems that the old had and so they also struggle and fight too in many ways.
The UC timeline is an never ending series of adults making huge mistakes and for their children to fix it, only for cycle to repeat.
