Instead, money gets hoarded and siphoned offshore into tax havens and we never see the benefit apart from having glitzy shopping centres sprout up everywhere. £170 billion in profit is there any greater advertisement for nationalising energy. That would be £170 billion back in peoples pockets an average of £6,115 per household. And I think £6,115 x 27.8 million households, spending that money in their local businesses, is a much better way to improve the economy than it going in millionaires offshore savings accounts. We talk about a declining high street imagine if every house hold had £6,000 to spend on them.

      @tobyFOTS 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's not the energy company s setting the price it's the wholesale price that is the problem, so nationalising the energy company's won't do anything for the wholesale price they pay..

      What utter nonsense. The war in Ukraine has nothing to do with the state of Britain today. We don't get our oil or gas from Ukraine or Russia. It's rampant profiteering by UK energy companies, aided and allowed by this Government. Staff shortages in the NHS are largely down to European nurses and doctors leaving since Brexit. Stop making up bigoted nonsense about UK doctors treating Ukrainians before British people. Utter, idiotic, codswallop.
