I've never seen a b16 beat an ls let alone a b20. Maybe it's because I live at 7k ft altitude and you cut a b16 torque into a third and youve got a dog. But seen 3 different b18b civics (one was an Integra) pull on an itr cammed and bolt on b16. Not a b16 fan at all for na... B20 is so much more versatile. Bolt ons on the p25 head like some Delta cam regrinds and full bolt ons. Cheaper and you will murder all but the most highly modded expensive b16. But b20 vtec built right with some high comp nippons or ycps can surprise some k guys
Private label manufacturing header (PLM). You can get them off of kingmotorsports. They are pretty cheap. I think under 400 bucks shipped. My buddy has em.
Rene Zapata RMF narrow style header after the guy who used to make them. I paid 400 something for one back in 2010ish. I see now there are a lot of copies out, some are not near the dimensions of the original. I had to go to pusher fans and a traction bar the clear the header.
they are powerful if you go b20vtec but the cylinder walls are thin cuz of bigger piston the walls are thinner so if you want to last you would need to resleeve it with better sleeves cuz stock sleeves can crack easily such as boosting but other then that it's strong but I prefer lsvtec b18b1 block and b16 head with ctr piston and b16 tranny
+Peter Yang I never resleeved my old b20 vtec all I did is use a type r water and oil pump gsr oil pan gsr oil pick up b16b head and it's still kicking to this day
B series are cool and all but I'd still rather have a k series any day over the B straight up!! My project car is still a long ways off from being built but I have 4 points on my insurance from doing this shit so it's not like I'm gonna be racing anytime soon anyway!
K series aren't really playing catch up 4 pistons just made one with 520 hp na. But for the cost it takes to swap one into an older chassis I just can't justify it because I've already got b series tranny axle and parts so b20 vtec it is. Though some the k series budget builds are starting to change my mind just don't want to start all the way over.
yea ppl are very uneducated on hondas. all they say is "hondas are slow" an this an that. it dont take alot of money to get them in the 12s range. on a stock motor lol

B-series all motor engines suck now in days! A brand new Camry will smoke a b-series Honda. If you want a fast Honda with just simple bolt ons or even bone stock get a k20
